ImpactThe teams appeared headed for overtime until the Columbus defense corps allowed Ryan Graves to get to the front of the net with only two seconds left in the third period and bang home a pass from Michael McLeod. The results still aren't there, but Merzlikins is beginning to show flickers of his old form, although it'd be tough for any netminder to deliver consistent numbers behind this injury-ravaged Blue Jackets blue line. Elvis hasn't given up fewer than three goals in a start since Jan. 8, but he also hasn't given up more than three goals in three straight -- not bad on a Columbus team that's given up the third-most goals in the league this season.

ImpactThe two teams traded goals through the first two periods and appeared to be headed to overtime after a scoreless third, but Graves took advantage of a soft Columbus defense to get to the front of the net and bang home a feed from Michael McLeod with just two seconds left on the clock. Graves snapped an eight-game point drought in the process, but the stay-at-home blueliner isn't known for his offense -- Tuesday's winner was the first of his career, and through 50 games on the season the 27-year-old has six goals, 18 points, 64 hits, 87 shots on net, 98 blocked shots and a whopping plus-30 rating that has him tied for fourth in the NHL with Seattle's Adam Larsson.

ImpactThe 22-year-old beat Vitek Vanecek with a quick snap shot from the high slot early in the second period to tie the score at 2-2. Boqvist has been surprisingly productive despite the troubles he's had staying healthy, and in his last 16 games dating back to Dec. 31 he's produced 12 points, including four power-play assists.

ImpactThe game looked like it was heading to OT before Ryan Graves banged the puck past Elvis Merzlikins with just two seconds left in the third period, but that's been the kind of luck Vanecek has had since the calendar flipped to 2023. The 27-year-old netminder hasn't lost a game in regulation since Dec. 28, and in 11 starts since the beginning of January, Vanecek's gone 10-0-1 with a 2.20 GAA and .926 save percentage.
