Alexander Romanov - Provides helper in overtime win Romanov notched an assist, five hits and three blocked shots in Friday's 4-3 overtime win over the Devils.
Impact Romanov was bloodied by a high hit at one point in the game, but he didn't miss a shift and answered with toughness instead. The 24-year-old defenseman's helper came when Kyle Palmieri tipped in his shot at 11:28 of the second period. Romanov has two assists, 14 hits, 19 blocked shots, 10 shots on goal and six PIM through seven outings this season. He remains in a top-four role, but he's unlikely to chip in much more than 20-25 points.

Jean-Gabriel Pageau - Contributes power-play assist Pageau notched a power-play assist, two shots on goal and three hits in Friday's 4-3 overtime win over the Devils.
Impact Pageau earned his first power-play point of the year on an Anders Lee tally in the first period. The 31-year-old Pageau has a total of three points, 13 shots on net, 14 hits and a minus-2 rating over seven contests. The defensive center continues to play on the third line at even strength, though he'll have a bit more upside as long as he's on the top power-play unit.

Noah Dobson - Nabs power-play helper Dobson logged a power-play assist, four shots on goal, two hits and two blocked shots in Friday's 4-3 overtime win over the Devils.
Impact Dobson set up an Anders Lee tally late in the first period. Through seven contests, Dobson has earned five assists, including three on the power play, offering steady offense as the Islanders' top blueliner. The 24-year-old has added 23 shots on net, 17 blocked shots, six hits and a minus-1 rating. He plays in a large role, which makes him a set-and-forget option for fantasy managers.

Mathew Barzal - Sets up overtime winner Barzal registered an assist, four shots on goal and two blocked shots in Friday's 4-3 overtime win over the Devils.
Impact Barzal found Bo Horvat for the game-winning goal in overtime. The 27-year-old Barzal is up to four points, 16 shots on net, eight blocked shots and a plus-1 rating through seven contests. His spot on the top line is secure, and his offense should more or less mirror the Islanders' overall production -- they've been inconsistent as a team with three shutout losses so far, which partially explains Barzal's somewhat limited offense.

Anders Lee - Strikes on power play Lee scored a power-play goal on six shots in Friday's 4-3 overtime win over the Devils.
Impact Lee has scored three times over the last five games, accounting for all of his offense this season. His goal Friday was his first power-play point -- his production in that situation should increase while Anthony Duclair (leg) is out. Lee is up to 31 shots on net, 14 hits and a minus-1 rating, giving him couple of non-scoring areas of strength for fantasy purposes should his scoring go cold.

Bo Horvat - Secures win in overtime Horvat scored the game-winning goal on two shots in Friday's 4-3 overtime win over the Devils.
Impact Horvat tallied 1:09 into overtime to secure the win in a game in which the Islanders never trailed. The 29-year-old center has scored in two of the last three games. He has three goals, one assist, 21 shots on net, four hits and a plus-2 rating over seven contests. The Islanders have already been shut out three times this year, which explains why Horvat's offense has been lukewarm so far.

Kyle Palmieri - Earns two points Friday Palmieri scored a goal on two shots and added an assist in Friday's 4-3 overtime win over the Devils.
Impact Palmieri and Brock Nelson assisted on each other's goals in this contest as the Islanders' second line made an impact. The 33-year-old Palmieri earned his first multi-point effort of the campaign. The winger has three goals, two assists, 21 shots on net, five hits and a plus-2 rating over seven contests. It'd be tough to expect a repeat of Palmieri's 30-goal, 54-point regular season from 2023-24, but he's off to a good start this year.

Brock Nelson - Collects pair of points Nelson scored a goal and added an assist in Friday's 4-3 overtime win over the Devils.
Impact Nelson snapped a three-game slump with a goal 1:23 into the first period. He also assisted on a Kyle Palmieri tally in the second. This was Nelson's second multi-point effort of the season, and the 33-year-old center now has three goals, two assists, 25 shots on net and a plus-2 rating through seven appearances.

Ilya Sorokin - Earns overtime win Sorokin stopped 32 of 35 shots in Friday's 4-3 overtime win over the Devils.
Impact Sorokin picked up his second win in four starts despite allowing a season-high three goals. The 29-year-old allowed a tally in each regulation period, but the Islanders won with a Bo Horvat goal in overtime. Sorokin has looked good early in 2024-25 and should continue to see No. 1 duties in goal, though he'll be watching Saturday's game versus the Panthers from the bench as Semyon Varlamov gets a start.
