Impact The 33-year-old helped set up a Ryan Pulock tally in the first period and a Mathew Barzal goal in the second. Cizikas hadn't had a multi-point performance since Feb. 29, and on the season the checking-line forward has only eight goals and 19 points through 60 games.

Jean-Gabriel Pageau - Two points including GWG Pageau scored the game-winning goal and added an assist in Thursday's 3-2 victory over the Panthers.

Impact The 31-year-old center jumped on a loose puck and slid it past Anthony Stolarz midway through the second period, giving the Isles their first and only lead of the game. Pageau's last multi-point performance came March 2, and on the season he's produced 10 goals and 30 points in 72 contests. He's also tied his career high with 175 hits, and his 72 blocked shots has him seven back of matching his personal best in that category as well.

Semyon Varlamov - Picks up win over Florida Varlamov made 26 saves in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Panthers.

Impact Florida took a 2-1 lead early in the second period, but Varlamov shut the door the rest of the way as the Isles rallied for a vital win as they try to stay in the playoff picture. The veteran netminder hasn't taken a regulation loss in March, going 3-0-1 on the month with a 2.47 GAA and .914 save percentage, and with Ilya Sorokin looking worn down while dropping six straight starts, Varlamov could find himself in a timeshare over the final weeks of the regular season.

Impact Varlamov is undefeated in regulation over his last three outings, posting a 2-0-1 record to go with a 2.63 GAA and .909 save percentage. While the 35-year-old backstop might be getting the nod Thursday, he remains the second-choice option behind Ilya Sorokin.

Scott Mayfield - Season officially over Mayfield (lower body) underwent season-ending surgery, the team announced Tuesday.

Impact The Isles didn't provide any clarification on the specific nature of Mayfield's lower-body injury but did say it wouldn't impact his offseason training program. The blueliner is in the first season of a seven-year deal he signed with the Isles in July of 2023. Even when healthy, Mayfield won't offer much in the way of fantasy value considering he has reached the 20-point threshold just once in his NHL career.

Ilya Sorokin - Losing streak continues Sorokin allowed three goals on 29 shots in a 4-0 loss to New Jersey on Sunday.

Impact Sorokin is mired in a six-game losing streak during which he has posted a 3.58 GAA and .881 save percentage. It certainly hasn't been all the netminder's fault, considering the Isles have failed to score a goal in three of those six defeats. Despite the slump, Sorokin will likely remain the preferred option in the crease ahead of Thursday's road clash with the Panthers.

Anders Lee - Handed 20 penalty minutes Lee was given 20 penalty minutes and ejected from Sunday's 4-0 defeat with New Jersey.

Impact Lee was assessed five-minute majors for kneeing and fighting, along with a 10-minute misconduct. The 33-year-old center could be looking at a possible suspension, though that announcement likely won't come until later Monday. In his last nine outings, the Minnesota native has scored just once while registering 14 shots.

Impact All his scoring came in the second period, as the line of Mathew Barzal, Anders Lee and Fasching blew the game open for the Islanders. The 28-year-old winger hasn't managed a point in an NHL game since scoring a goal against the Stars on Jan. 21, missing most of the two months in between due to an illness that landed him on LTIR. Fasching's four goals and 11 points in 39 games on the season is far from impressive, but if he continues to skate with Barzal, he could have more surprisingly productive games ahead.

Impact The veteran grinder scored the first two tallies of the afternoon before the halfway mark of the first period, but wasn't able to complete the hat trick. Clutterbuck has only seven goals on the season, and he'd managed only one in the 44 games prior to Saturday's outburst. What fantasy value Clutterbuck has comes from his physical play -- he's up to 236 hits on the campaign, his best total since 2015-16 and the third-best mark in the NHL behind Jeremy Lauzon's 324 and Garnet Hathaway's 283.

Impact All three points came in the second period as the Islanders seized control of the game, and it was Barzal's tally that caused Connor Hellebuyck to get the hook.
