Grant Hutton - Dropped to AHLHutton was reassigned to AHL Bridgeport on Sunday, per CapFriendly.
ImpactHutton dressed in two games with the Islanders but was a healthy scratch for the last two. The 28-year-old will likely continue to shuffle between the AHL and NHL levels regularly.

Uvis Balinskis - Summoned from minorsBalinskis was recalled from AHL Charlotte on Sunday.
ImpactBalinskis has contributed one goal, one assist, 16 shots on net, 12 blocked shots and 19 hits over 15 NHL appearances this season. He scored a goal in his lone AHL outing during a 5-2 loss to Hershey on Saturday.

Carter Verhaeghe - Four points in last two gamesVerhaeghe had a goal and an assist in a 4-3 loss to the Islanders on Saturday.
ImpactHis goal came on a rebound in the third. Verhaeghe has put up two straight two-point games (two goals, two assists). And he has five points, including three goals, and 17 shots in his last four games. Verhaeghe sits third in Panthers' scoring with 20 points, and second in goals (11). He's behind his 2022-23 pace (42 goals, 73 points), but not by much -- he could deliver 68 points, including 37 goals, if he can keep this up. Verhaeghe is the one that got away from both the Leafs, who drafted him in 2013, and the Lightning, who traded him to their cross-state rival in 2019.

Anthony Stolarz - Strong and steady despite lossStolarz made 23 saves in a 4-3 loss to the Islanders on Saturday.
ImpactThe ice was tilted toward Ilya Sorokin at the other end -- he made 42 saves, including 17 in the third. Stolarz was beaten on a power play in the first and then surrendered two goals on rebounds in the second. The fourth was a bang-bang play off a face-off win and one-timer in the third. Stolarz has been more than steady in the backup role in the sunshine state, putting up a 3-2-1 record with 2.34 GAA and .917 save percentage. In two regulation losses, he has given up eight goals. But in the other four starts, Stolarz has surrendered just six goals.

Brock Nelson - First points in four gamesNelson had two assists in a 4-3 win over the Panthers on Saturday.
ImpactBoth were secondary assists. The first came on Anders Lee's power-play marker in the first, and his second was on Pierre Engvall's second-period wrister that put the Isles up 2-1. The helpers were Nelson's first in four games, and first since a five-game, eight-point streak that started in the middle of November. He's slightly off his career 75-point pace from last season, but he is on pace for his third straight 30-plus goal campaign. Nelson is among the league's most underrated performers.

Josh Mahura - Activated SaturdayMahura (lower body) was activated from injured reserve Saturday, David Dwork of Local 10 Miami reports.
ImpactMahura didn't play Saturday versus the Islanders while remaining on IR, but he should be available for Wednesday's game versus the Stars. If Mahura retakes a place in the lineup, he'll likely play on the third pairing.

Bo Horvat - Three-game, four-point streakHorvat delivered two assists Saturday in a 4-3 win over Florida.
ImpactHorvat is on a three-game, four-game streak (two goals, two assists). But it was his first game in 12 that he put up multiple points. Horvat has 18 points, including 11 apples, in 22 games, which is impressive in such a defense-first structure. But Horvat's seven goals put him on a modest 25-goal pace and that's a far cry from his impressive 38 (combined) from last season.
