Kyle MacLean - Up from AHLMacLean was summoned from AHL Bridgeport on Wednesday.
ImpactMacLean has six goals, 19 points and 28 PIM in 36 games with Bridgeport this season. The 24-year-old has never played in the NHL, but with forwards Casey Cizikas (lower body) and Pierre Engvall (upper body) dealing with their respective injuries, perhaps there will be an opportunity for MacLean to draw into the lineup Friday versus Chicago.

Casey Cizikas - On injured reserveCizikas was put on injured reserve Wednesday retroactive to Jan. 9, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
ImpactThe move being retroactive means Cizikas can be activated whenever he's healthy. However, he was listed as week-to-week, per Andrew Gross of Newsday on Thursday, so the 32-year-old forward probably won't return soon. Cizikas has five goals, 11 points, 69 hits and 42 blocks in 39 outings in 2023-24. Hudson Fasching has been playing regularly during Cizikas' absence.

Anders Lee - Scores twice in lossLee collected two goals in a 4-2 loss to Winnipeg on Tuesday.
ImpactLee could only do so much. He tried his best to carry the load for his team but his two goals and six shots on goal were not quite enough. After tying up the game 1-1 late in the first period, he put one past Connor Hellebuyck early in the third for his 13th on the year but the Islanders could not come up with the equalizer. The Jets eventually finished the game on an empty-net goal. Lee ended with two PIM, a hit and a plus-1 rating in 16:09 TOI.

Kyle Connor - Manages empty-net goalConnor scored a goal on six shots in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Islanders.
ImpactThis was Connor's first game back in 16 games after being activated off injured reserve (knee) and he celebrated in style. Known for scoring goals, Connor could not light the lamp against Ilya Sorokin but it wasn't for a lack of trying. He led all Jets with six shots on goal and was finally rewarded when he put away the game on an empty net.

Gabriel Vilardi - Opens scoringVilardi found the back of the net in a 4-2 win over the Islanders on Tuesday.
ImpactAfter being questionable (illness) for the game against the Islanders, Vilardi answered the bell when he scored the opening goal 9:41 into the first period. He earned his goal, sitting in the paint and tipping in the loose puck after screening Ilya Sorokin on Adam Lowry's shot. Vilardi also produced four shots on goal, one hit and ended with a plus-1 rating in 18:27 TOI.

Connor Hellebuyck - Holds on for winHellebuyck stopped 35 of 37 shots in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Islanders.
ImpactAfter being on the wrong side of a shutout on Saturday, Hellebuyck was sharp for Winnipeg as he finished with a .946 save percentage. The Islanders made it close early in the third on an Anders Lee wrist shot to make it 3-2 but Hellebuyck kicked away the remaining 10 shots fired at him to guarantee the win. The Jets have three days off until they return to the ice on Saturday when they host the Senators.
