Impact Zibanejad assisted on power-play goals by Chris Kreider and Artemi Panarin, as well as an even-strength marker by Kreider, which came on a rebound after Zibanejad hit the post. New York's No. 1 center raised his career high point total to 86, but he has yet to reach his previous bests in either goals or assists, sitting two goals shy of his 41 from 2019-20 and five assists short of last year's 52 with four games to play.

Impact Kreider opened the scoring with a power-play deflection in front, passing Vic Hadfield for fifth in Rangers franchise history. He shot the puck right into Andrei Vasilevskiy's glove with most of the net open early in the third period but made no mistake with another opportunity later in the final frame, picking up his second goal on a rebound after Mika Zibanejad hit the post. After scoring only 14 of his 52 goals at even strength last season, Kreider has once again potted 14 at even strength, though his overall goal total has dipped to 35.

Tyler Motte - Pots pair in win Motte scored two goals on seven shots in Wednesday's 6-3 win over the Lightning.
Impact Motte provided the Rangers' third goal in the first 10:21, surprising Andrei Vasilevskiy with a shot from the boards. He beat Vasilevskiy again in the second, restoring a two-goal lead just 15 seconds after the Lightning had cut it to 3-2. The industrious winger continued peppering the net with pucks in hopes of completing the hat trick, but he ultimately had to settle for his first two-goal game since Jan. 27, 2021. After potting only three goals in 38 games with Ottawa to begin the season, Motte has racked up five goals in 20 games since being reacquired by the Rangers.

Impact Both of Goodrow's assists came on goals by fellow fourth-liner Tyler Motte. Goodrow added one shot, one blocked shot, three hits and a plus-2 rating, but he surprisingly didn't get in on the fighting in an emotionally charged game that included 75 PIM and four bouts.

Impact Tarasenko's primary assist on the man advantage gives him 10 assists and 17 points through 27 games with the Rangers. The Blueshirts have clinched a playoff berth, and Tarasenko -- who dropped 60 points (41 goals, 19 assists) through 90 postseason games with the Blues -- should remain a key fixture within the top six and No. 2 power-play unit for the postseason.

Impact Fox was quiet for most of the night but helped the Rangers pull away with third-period assists on goals by Chris Kreider and Artemi Panarin, the latter of which came on the man advantage. With these two points, Fox is up to an even 70 this season, so he'll need four over New York's last four games to tie last year's career high total. He was reunited with customary defense partner Ryan Lindgren (upper body) in this one, as Lindgren returned after missing 17 of New York's previous 18 games.

Igor Shesterkin - Beats Tampa for 36th win Shesterkin made 28 saves in Wednesday's 6-3 win over the Lightning.
Impact Shesterkin was staked to a 3-0 lead just over 10 minutes into the game, but the Lightning pushed back, cutting the deficit to one goal on two different occasions in the second period. The Rangers refocused in the third and pulled away, helping Shesterkin notch his fourth win in the last five starts. Shesterkin has equaled last year's total of 36 wins, and while he hasn't been able to replicate his 2.07 GAA and .935 save percentage from 2021-22, a deeper Rangers team in front of him has helped Shesterkin maintain his status as a set-and-forget fantasy option in net.

Patrick Kane - Will miss Wednesday's game Kane (lower body) won't be in the lineup against Tampa Bay on Wednesday, per Dan Rosen of NHL.com.
Impact Gerard Gallant described the decision to scratch Kane as being more about maintenance than anything. With the playoffs around the corner, it's not surprising to see the Rangers opt to rest Kane, who has 21 goals and 55 points in 70 outings this season, rather than have him test the injury. He might still play Thursday versus St. Louis. In the meantime, the Rangers are projected to dress seven defensemen Wednesday with Ryan Lindgren playing for the first time since March 21.
