ImpactMaatta took part in Saturday's practice after sitting out Friday's 4-3 loss to the Rangers due to the injury. He has four goals, 17 points and 91 blocked shots in 66 outings this campaign. If Maatta is good to go, Jake Walman might be a healthy scratch versus the Sabres.

ImpactLyon is coming off a 34-save effort in Friday's 4-3 loss to the Rangers. Lyon has a 19-17-4 record this season with a 3.03 GAA and a .906 save percentage over 40 appearances. He has gone 1-1-0 versus the Sabres this season, stopping 38 of 45 shots.

ImpactWith the game knotted up at two apiece in the third frame and the Rangers on the power play, Kreider found the back of the net for the game-winning goal. It was the 37th goal of the season for Kreider and he added two shots on net and a minus-1 rating in 16:56 of ice time. In his past five games, Kreider has sniped four markers with two of those being on the power play. New York still have five games left on the year and Kreider has already eclipsed the 36 goals he reached from his previous campaign.
