Nikolaj Ehlers - Practices WednesdayEhlers joined the Jets for Wednesday's practice and took part in line rushes, per Ken Wiebe of Sportsnet.

ImpactEhlers' status for Game 5 on Thursday hasn't been confirmed, but this is an important step in the right direction. He's missed the Jets' last five contests because of the injury. Ehlers had 12 goals and 38 points in 45 regular-season appearances. If he does play Thursday, it might be on a line with Vladislav Namestnikov and Nino Niederreiter, based on Wednesday's line rushes.

ImpactCarrier hasn't played since suffering a lower-body injury March 3 versus New Jersey, but it appears he may finally be approaching a return. The 28-year-old winger picked up 16 goals and 25 points through 56 games during the regular season. Another update on his status should surface if and when he's cleared to play.

Vladislav Namestnikov might play a bigger role Thursday with Scheifele unavailable.
