Impact Both tallies came in the third period, but so did the rest of the Jets' offense as they erased a 3-0 deficit with a stunning road comeback. It's Niederreiter's first multi-goal performance of 2024, with his last coming Dec. 30 against the Wild, and it was a rare flash of production from the 31-year-old winger -- he's made it onto the scoresheet only four times in the last 20 games. On the season, Niederreiter's compiled 16 goals and 30 points in 59 contests.

Impact Niederreiter logged an assist on Mason Appleton's first-period goal before tallying an empty-netter in the third to seal Winnipeg's 6-3 win. The 31-year-old Niederreiter came into the contest with just one goal and two points in his previous 14 games while slipping into a bottom-six role. He now has 14 goals and 28 points through 54 games this season.

Impact Holding a 1-0 lead late in the first period, the Jets controlled the puck in Pittsburgh's end until Nate Schmidt directed a slap shot at the net that bounced off the boards right onto Niederreiter's stick. He used the puck luck to backhand the rebound past Tristan Jarry for his 13th of the year that ended up being the game winner for Winnipeg. Impact Niederreiter has helpers in consecutive games following a three-game slump. The winger set up Adam Lowry's goal in the final minute of regulation. Niederreiter remains officially on the third line with Lowry and Mason Appleton, but that trio often sees top-six minutes on the ice. Niederreiter is up to 24 points, 96 shots on net, 52 hits and a plus-14 rating through 39 contests overall.

Impact Niederreiter helped out on Cole Perfetti's insurance marker in the third period. While he's yet to get on the scoresheet in more than two games in a row, Niederreiter has been a solid middle-six contributor for the Jets this season. He's at 12 goals, 11 assists, 94 shots on net, 49 hits and a plus-12 rating through 38 contests.

He tallied just 43 seconds after Adam Henrique put the Ducks ahead 2-0 early in the third period. Niederreiter is up to seven goals and 16 points through 26 outings, mainly in a third-line role, but with Kyle Connor (lower body) leaving Sunday's game early, a spot on the top line could be open in the short term. Niederreiter, Cole Perfetti and Alex Iafallo seem like the likeliest options for a move to play alongside Mark Scheifele if necessary.
