Impact Back has four helpers over his last six contests. It's one of his best runs so far, but the 24-year-old forward remains in a fourth-line role and isn't expected to be a big contributor on offense. He's at eight points, 16 shots on goal, 12 hits and a plus-4 rating through 26 appearances.

Impact Back has contributed three helpers over his last two games. He assisted on goals by Jason Robertson and Thomas Harley in this contest. This isn't likely to be a sustained improvement on offense for Back, who is stuck in a fourth-line role. He has seven points, 15 shots on net, 12 hits and a plus-5 rating over 22 appearances, though he hasn't sat out since Nov. 11 and likely won't do so since Tyler Seguin's (hip) long-term absence means the Stars are unlikely to carry any spare forwards until he moves from regular to long-term injured reserve officially.

Impact Back snapped a seven-game point drought when he set up Mavrik Bourque's second-period tally. The 24-year-old Back has been in the lineup most of the season, but he's a fixture on the fourth line when he plays. He's contributed just one goal, four assists, 14 shots on net, 11 hits, four blocked shots and a plus-3 rating over 21 appearances.

Impact Back has three points over his last four games. The 24-year-old has received a steady run of playing time in a stretch where Colin Blackwell and Mavrik Bourque have served as the healthy scratch. Back is likely to peak at the fourth line. He has four points, 10 shots on net, nine hits and a plus-1 rating through 13 appearances this season.

First career multi-point game Back recorded a goal and an assist in Thursday's 7-2 win over the Bruins.

Impact Back didn't play in any of the Stars' previous two contests and had suited up in just three of the team's last eight games. However, he made his presence felt in this game with arguably the best outing of his entire NHL career. The 24-year-old center doesn't have a spot secure in any of the lines and doesn't produce consistently to warrant roster consideration in most formats, but there's no question he turned more than a few heads with his play Thursday.

Notches first NHL point Back tallied a short-handed assist while logging 9:02 of ice time during Thursday's 3-2 loss to the Capitals.

Impact Back's helper was his first career NHL point and comes in his fifth NHL game after signing a one-year contract with Dallas in June. The third-round pick from the 2018 NHL Entry Draft could be returning to the minors before too long with Tyler Seguin (lower body) nearing a return.

Signs one-year deal Back signed a one-year, two-way contract with Dallas on Tuesday.

Impact Back collected seven goals and 36 points in 59 regular-season contests for AHL Texas in 2023-24. The 24-year-old forward doesn't have any NHL experience yet. Back will probably spend most, if not all, of the 2024-25 campaign in the minors.
