Up from minors Giles was called up by the Panthers on Friday, per Colby Guy of The Palm Beach Post.

Impact Giles had 10 goals, 23 points and 31 PIM in 66 regular-season games with AHL Charlotte in 2023-24. The 24-year-old hasn't made his NHL debut, but perhaps he'll draw into the lineup Saturday versus Buffalo if Barkov (lower body) is unavailable after being hurt during Thursday's 3-1 loss to Ottawa.
