Impact This was Myers' first game action since he spent a week in the AHL on a conditioning stint. The 27-year-old defenseman has appeared in just two games this season, adding four shots on net and eight hits. Myers may be in position to push Conor Timmins for a spot in the lineup, but until he plays more frequently, Myers is not an option for fantasy.

Impact Myers played in only one game with the Maple Leafs before he was sent to the minors Saturday. Myers saw action in three games and had five shots on goal and four PIM with nary a point. He will likely remain as the Maple Leafs' seventh defenseman, barring any injuries.

Impact Myers has been a healthy scratch in 17 of Toronto's 18 games to date. He will get in some much needed playing time with the Marlies as they play six times over the next 14 days.

Impact Myers generated four goals, 23 points and 67 PIM in 61 regular-season contests for AHL Syracuse in 2023-24. He didn't earn a point in five regular-season appearances with Tampa Bay this past campaign despite earning six shots on goal, eight hits and six blocked shots. Myers will probably spend most, if not all, of 2024-25 in the minors after getting a look at Toronto's training camp.

Impact Myers' promotion would seem to indicate that Victor Hedman (undisclosed) will not be ready to play versus Vancouver on Tuesday. Even with Myers' joining the big club, he is unlikely to unseat Hayden Fleury or Nick Perbix for a spot in the lineup and figures to serve as an emergency depth option during the Bolts' three-game Canadian road trip.
