Impact Sanheim continues to be the Flyers' top overall defenseman. He's picked up one assist in five of six games this season while adding an even plus-minus rating despite seeing the toughest defensive assignments. He's also recorded 11 blocked shots, five hits, eight PIM and 14 shots on net while averaging 25:58 of ice time per game, 5:34 more than he averaged in 2022-23.

Impact Farabee set up Noah Cates' first-period tally. This was Farabee's first assist of the season, to go with three goals in six contests. The 23-year-old winger has been in a middle-six role to begin 2023-24, racking up 13 shots on net, three hits, two PIM and a plus-4 rating. He had 39 points in 82 outings last year, but with the Flyers looking noticeably improved so far, Farabee could be in for a career year.

The 24-year-old forward has played in a middle-six role, though he saw a season-high 18:11 of ice time Tuesday. No one is truly a lock to stay in the lineup under head coach John Tortorella, but Cates generally does enough of the little things right to avoid the press box.

Impact Hart was excellent for most of the game, but he gave up a pair of goals in the final 10 minutes to squander the strong performance. The 25-year-old has allowed 11 goals over five appearances this season while posting a 3-2-0 record with one shutout. Hart's talent has never been in question, but this is the first time in years the team in front of him has not been a hindrance to his performance. He'll likely get the nod for Thursday's home game versus the Wild.
