Impact With O'Connor on the shelf, the Penguins will need at least one of Noel Acciari (upper body) or Jansen Harkins (upper body), who were both deemed game-time decisions, to slot into the lineup. Otherwise, the club will need to recall another forward from the minors. Even with his injury, O'Connor has already set new personal bests in goals (nine), assists (12) and games played (60).

Tristan Jarry - Leaves ice first Thursday Jarry was the first goalie off the ice Thursday, Seth Rorabaugh of Tribune-Review Sports reports, indicating he'll be in goal at home against the Capitals.
Impact Jarry will be making his seventh appearance in the Penguins' last eight contests, having gone 4-2-0 with a 3.18 GAA in his previous six outings. The 28-year-old backstop needs just two more victories to reach the 20-win threshold for the fifth straight season. At this point, it would take quite an effort from Jarry to get Pittsburgh into the postseason.

Jake Guentzel - Close to returning Guentzel was spotted with a normal jersey in Thursday's morning skate, suggesting his return is close, per Matt Vensel of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
Impact Guentzel has missed the past 10 games because of an upper-body injury. The 29-year-old has played 50 games recording 22 goals and 30 assists. He will look to get back quickly as the Penguins are in win-now mode being eight points out of a playoff spot.
