Impact Kahkonen was accidentally kneed by Vancouver's Andrei Kuzmenko during the Sharks' 10-1 loss to the Canucks on Thursday. Having allowed six goals on 19 shots, Kahkonen was pulled from the game midway through the second period and briefly went to be checked, but was later seen on the bench, Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now reports. However, Kahkonen might have been hurt worse than it initially appeared. If he's not available Saturday, then the Sharks will need to call up a goaltender, who will likely serve as the backup for Mackenzie Blackwood.

Impact Kunin has a goal and an assist over his last two games, accounting for all of his offense through 10 contests. He also logged his second fighting major in this games, dropping the mitts with Phil Di Giuseppe in the second period. Kunin has 19 shots on net, 16 PIM, a minus-6 rating and 17 hits while filling a middle-six role. While he's a solid defensive forward, drawing tough assignments while on the ice with the Sharks' porous defense and goaltending will lead to poor numbers in many areas for Kunin.

Kevin Labanc - Adds power-play helper Labanc posted a power-play assist, two PIM and a minus-2 rating in Thursday's 10-1 loss to the Canucks.
Impact Labanc helped out on a Fabian Zetterlund goal late in the third period. The helper was Labanc's first point in seven appearances this season. The 27-year-old winger has also gone minus-6 with 11 shots on net, eight hits and four PIM. He'll likely remain in a bottom-six role most of the time, though it's also possible he could be an occasional healthy scratch.

Impact Zetterlund prevented the Sharks from getting shut out by scoring with 3:48 left in the game. The 24-year-old winger has been arguably one of the only bright spots for the team with three goals and an assist through 10 contests. The Sharks have just 10 goals as a team. Zetterlund has added 19 shots on net, 10 hits, seven blocked shots and a minus-7 rating. If he sticks in a top-six role, he could still contribute on offense, but his plus-minus is likely to remain deep in the red all year.
