Calen Addison - First helper since returnAddison produced a power-play assist, four blocked shots and two PIM in Sunday's 3-1 loss to the Avalanche.
ImpactAddison snapped a five-game point drought with his helper on Tomas Hertl's second-period marker. It was Addison's first power-play point since Nov. 25. The defenseman is up to 12 points, 41 shots on net, 36 blocked shots, 20 PIM and a minus-15 rating over 34 appearances between the Sharks and the Wild this season. Addison may be called on for a larger role if Mario Ferraro (upper body) misses time after leaving Sunday's contest.

Mikael Granlund - Earns 20th helper of seasonGranlund notched a power-play assist, two hits, two blocked shots and two PIM in Sunday's 3-1 loss to the Avalanche.
ImpactGranlund set up Tomas Hertl's tally in the second period. The helper was Granlund's 20th of the campaign, which is all the more impressive given the Sharks' weak offense and the fact he missed two weeks in October. The forward is up to 24 points (eight on the power play), 62 shots on net, 26 hits, 24 blocked shots and a minus-8 rating through 30 appearances. Most Sharks aren't steady enough for fantasy, but Granlund is one of the exceptions to that rule.

Tomas Hertl - Tallies lone goal in lossHertl scored a power-play goal and added 10 PIM in Sunday's 3-1 loss to the Avalanche.
ImpactHertl tied the game at 1-1 late in the second period, but the Sharks couldn't get ahead after that. The 30-year-old turned up his offense with nine tallies and three assists over 14 outings in December. For the season, he's managed 13 goals, 28 points (nine on the power play), 90 shots on net, 31 blocked shots, 26 hits, 20 PIM and a minus-19 rating over 36 contests in a top-line role.

Kaapo Kahkonen - Falls short SundayKahkonen stopped 30 of 32 shots in Sunday's 3-1 loss to the Avalanche.
ImpactKahkonen put in a strong effort in a game that saw the Avalanche triple up the Sharks in shots (33-11), but it wasn't enough. Valeri Nichushkin scored the deciding goal at 16:31 of the third period. Kahkonen has gone 0-4-1 with 16 goals allowed over his last six appearances. The Finn is at 5-10-1 with a 3.51 GAA and a .902 save percentage through 18 outings this season. With Mackenzie Blackwood recovered from his recent illness, the Sharks may return to rotating between their goalies going forward.
