ImpactThe Penguins held a 3-0 lead early in the second period, but as has been the case too often this season the defense couldn't stop the opposition from mounting a comeback, and Nedeljkovic needed to come up big just to get the game to OT. It's his first win since Nov. 2, and on the season he's gone 3-3-3 over 10 appearances with a 3.17 GAA and .886 save percentage. Nedeljkovic will likely remain in a timeshare with Tristan Jarry unless one of them heats up and pushes their way into the No. 1 job.

ImpactThe Sharks were staring at a 3-0 deficit early in the second period, but Toffoli led the comeback with his seventh and eighth tallies of the season. The veteran winger hadn't produced a multi-point performance since Oct. 28, but on the season Toffoli has a respectable 14 points in 19 contests, including two goals and six points with the man advantage.

Mackenzie Blackwood - Needed in relief SaturdayBlackwood stopped 25 of 26 shots in regulation and overtime after replacing Vitek Vanecek (undisclosed) to begin the second period of Saturday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Penguins.
ImpactHe was only able to stop two of Pittsburgh's five shootout attempts, sticking Blackwood with the OTL. The 27-year-old hasn't given up more than three goals in any of his last five appearances, going 2-2-1 over that stretch with a 1.92 GAA and .944 save percentage, but if Vanecek's injury proves to be serious, it may not result in a big increase in Blackwood's workload as he would likely then be sharing the San Jose crease with top prospect Yaroslav Askarov.
