Matty Beniers - Contributes helper Beniers notched an assist and four shots on goal in Tuesday's 5-4 overtime win over the Stars in Game 1.
Impact Beniers helped out on Jordan Eberle's first-period tally. Through eight playoff games, Beniers has been limited two two points, 17 shots on net, six blocked shots and five hits. He's averaging of 18:27 of ice time in the postseason, up from 17:06 in the regular season. The rookie center often found offense in bursts while racking up 24 goals and 57 points in 80 contests in 2022-23, so it's possible he could build off of Tuesday's performance.

Impact Bjorkstrand had both goals in the Kraken's Game 7 win over the Avalanche, and he found twine again Tuesday. He's up to five points, 25 shots on net, eight hits and a minus-2 rating through eight playoff contests. The 28-year-old continues to work well on the third line Yanni Gourde and Eeli Tolvanen, a trio which has been effective in the postseason.

Impact Donato won a puck battle and set up Justin Schultz's first-period tally. The assist ended a 10-game point drought for Donato, who hasn't been able to add much offense while seeing limited minutes on the fourth line lately. Philipp Grubauer - Set to face Stars Grubauer was the first goalie off the ice at the morning skate, Kate Shefte of The Seattle Times reports, indicating he will start Game 1 in Dallas.
Impact Grubauer posted a 4-3 record with a 2.44 GAA and a .926 save percentage against Colorado in the first round of the playoffs. He stopped 21 shots in a 4-3 overtime loss to the Stars on March 11 during the regular season. Dallas ranks ninth in the playoffs this year with 31.7 shots per game.

Jared McCann - Remains unavailable McCann (undisclosed) didn't accompany the Kraken to Dallas for the start of the second round the playoffs, Saad Yousuf of The Athletic reports.
Impact McCann hasn't traveled with the team since getting injured in Game 4 of the first round against Colorado on April 24. It's unclear at this time if he will be available to return to the lineup during the second round of the postseason. McCann racked up 40 goals and 70 points in 79 games during the regular season. Tye Kartye is projected to remain on the top line of the Kraken.

Impact Things got scrambly in the Stars' zone, as Gourde's attempt to pass to the point was blocked back to him. He spun around and beat Jake Oettinger with a shot at 12:17 of overtime to give the Kraken the win and 1-0 series lead. Gourde's playoff experience is showing this postseason -- he has two goals, five assists, 12 shots on net, 30 hits, nine blocked shots and a plus-3 rating through eight appearances.

Impact Grubauer had no answer for Joe Pavelski, who scored all four of the Stars' goals.
