Impact With the Kraken healthy on defense, there hasn't been a chance for Megna to step into the lineup yet. The 30-year-old is in a tough position, as he may not even be the next man up -- if the Kraken have enough warning time, they may choose to insert a call-up from AHL Coachella Valley over Megna when injuries arise.

Jamie Oleksiak - Hands out helper Oleksiak notched an assist and blocked two shots in Thursday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Hurricanes.
Impact Oleksiak earned his first point of the season with the secondary helper on Oliver Bjorkstrand's first-period tally. While his offense has largely been absent, Oleksiak is doing what he does best defensively -- getting in the way of the opponent. Impact Schwartz's first helper of the campaign was a feed to Oliver Bjorkstrand, who made an individual effort 1-on-3 in the offensive zone before firing a laser past Frederik Andersen. While the Kraken have struggled to produce steady offense, Schwartz has been solid with four goals and an assist through eight outings. Devin Shore - Scores in overtime loss Shore scored a goal on three shots in Thursday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Hurricanes.
Impact Shore settled a pass from Oliver Bjorkstrand and beat Frederik Andersen five-hole on the Kraken's second goal. With Andre Burakovsky (upper body) and Brandon Tanev (lower body) out for weeks, Shore has a chance to carve out a bottom-six role for a while. He's produced four shots on net, three hits, four PIM and an even plus-minus rating over two contests so far.

Impact Daccord played a strong game. He stymied several Hurricanes through the game and had staked his team to the lead until Jesperi Kotkaniemi tied the game at 15:36 of the third. Martin Necas then scored with just 10 seconds left in OT. Daccord is 2-0-2 with a 2.83 GAA and a .910 save percentage on the season. The Kraken have only managed 18 goals in 11 games this year, and that includes two games in which they scored eight goals. Daccord will need to be almost perfect to deliver fantasy value while Seattle continues to struggle.

Oliver Bjorkstrand - Seven points in eight games Bjorkstrand had a goal and an assist in a 3-2 overtime loss to Carolina on Thursday.
Impact The goal was pretty. Bjorkstrand cut hard around Brent Burns in the left faceoff circle and scored over Frederik Andersen's glove to put the Kraken up 1-0 in the first period. Bjorkstrand's been a bit of an offensive revelation. He has seven points (two goals, five assists) in eight games. His best season came two years ago in Columbus when he put in 28 goals and ended up with 57 points in 80 games, although his minus-35 rating was one of the league's worst that year. Bjorkstrand leads the Kraken in scoring (tied with Vince Dunn) and could deliver sneaky fantasy value for managers who snag him off the wire.
