Jaden Schwartz - Posts helper Saturday Schwartz logged an assist and two shots on goal in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Panthers.

Impact Schwartz has two goals and two helpers over his last three games. The winger has been steady from his second-line role this season, racking up four goals, two assists, 24 shots on net, eight hits, seven blocked shots and a minus-5 rating. He's had a couple of injury scares, but Schwartz can be productive as long as he remains healthy.

Jared McCann - Scores in loss McCann scored a goal on four shots in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Panthers.

Impact A recent drop to the third line hasn't nullified McCann's effectiveness as arguably the Kraken's best shooter. The 27-year-old has three points over his last three contests, giving him four goals and a helper through nine outings this season. He's added 27 shots on net, nine PIM and a minus-5 rating. With Andre Burakovsky (upper body) likely out until at least December, McCann may stick with Yanni Gourde and Eeli Tolvanen for a while.

Eeli Tolvanen - Pots first tally of season Tolvanen scored his first goal of the season in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Panthers.

Impact He also recorded four shots, four hits and a plus-2 rating on the night. Tolvanen tipped home a Justin Schwartz shot midway through the second period to give Seattle a 2-0 lead, but the team's offense went cold the rest of the way. The 24-year-old scored 16 goals and 27 points in 48 games with the Kraken last season after being picked up off waivers, but in the early going of the 2023-24 campaign Tolvanen hasn't been able to repeat that pace, managing only three points in nine contests.

Will Borgen - Two helpers against Panthers Borgen notched two assists in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Panthers.

Impact It's his second game this season with two helpers, but those are Borgen's only points through nine contests. The 26-year-old blueliner is providing decent all-around production, adding 16 hits, 15 shots, 11 blocked shots and four PIM to his ledger, but his lack of power-play time puts a firm cap on his fantasy value.

Joey Daccord - Win slips away Saturday Daccord turned aside 35 shots in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Panthers.

Impact Seattle grabbed a 2-0 lead midway through the second period but Daccord couldn't make it hold up, with Florida's game-winner in the third being the product of pure bad luck. The netminder left his crease to handle a dump-in by the Panthers, only for the puck to take a funny carom off the boards and bounce straight into the slot to Nick Cousins. Daccord has started three straight games, going 1-1-1 while giving up 10 goals on 110 shots, and on the season he sports a 2.88 GAA and .912 save percentage -- ratios that are a step up from Philipp Grubauer's 3.04 GAA and .896 SvP. The Kraken haven't yet officially indicated that Daccord has supplanted Grubauer on the depth chart, but the younger goalie's recent usage at least suggests the two are in a timeshare.

Impact With the Kraken healthy on defense, there hasn't been a chance for Megna to step into the lineup yet. The 30-year-old is in a tough position, as he may not even be the next man up -- if the Kraken have enough warning time, they may choose to insert a call-up from AHL Coachella Valley over Megna when injuries arise.

Jamie Oleksiak - Hands out helper Oleksiak notched an assist and blocked two shots in Thursday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Hurricanes.

Impact Oleksiak earned his first point of the season with the secondary helper on Oliver Bjorkstrand's first-period tally. While his offense has largely been absent, Oleksiak is doing what he does best defensively -- getting in the way of the opponent. Impact Daccord played a strong game. He stymied several Hurricanes through the game and had staked his team to the lead until Jesperi Kotkaniemi tied the game at 15:36 of the third. Martin Necas then scored with just 10 seconds left in OT. Daccord is 2-0-2 with a 2.83 GAA and a .910 save percentage on the season. The Kraken have only managed 18 goals in 11 games this year, and that includes two games in which they scored eight goals. Daccord will need to be almost perfect to deliver fantasy value while Seattle continues to struggle.

Oliver Bjorkstrand - Seven points in eight games Bjorkstrand had a goal and an assist in a 3-2 overtime loss to Carolina on Thursday.

Impact The goal was pretty. Bjorkstrand cut hard around Brent Burns in the left faceoff circle and scored over Frederik Andersen's glove to put the Kraken up 1-0 in the first period. Bjorkstrand's been a bit of an offensive revelation. He has seven points (two goals, five assists) in eight games. His best season came two years ago in Columbus when he put in 28 goals and ended up with 57 points in 80 games, although his minus-35 rating was one of the league's worst that year. Bjorkstrand leads the Kraken in scoring (tied with Vince Dunn) and could deliver sneaky fantasy value for managers who snag him off the wire.
