Ales Stezka - Returns to AHL Stezka was moved to AHL Coachella Valley on Saturday.

Impact Stezka served as the backup goaltender in Seattle's 4-3 overtime win over Vegas on Friday because Philipp Grubauer was unavailable due to an undisclosed injury he suffered during an accident at home. The Kraken aren't scheduled to play again until Tuesday's tilt against Columbus, so Stezka can still be recalled before that date if it turns out Grubauer needs to miss additional time. The 27-year-old Stezka has a 3.61 GAA and an .881 save percentage in six outings with Coachella Valley this season.

Tye Kartye - Manages assist in win Kartye notched an assist and two PIM in Friday's 4-3 overtime win over the Golden Knights.

Impact Kartye was scratched Tuesday versus the Avalanche, so it's positive to see him get on the scoresheet in his return to the lineup. The 23-year-old hasn't done much on offense with two points through 14 appearances, but he's added 14 shots on net, 48 hits, eight PIM and a minus-3 rating. Kartye's spot in the lineup should be safe for a while longer, but he could face a challenge for playing time once the Kraken can deploy Daniel Sprong, who was acquired from the Canucks on Friday but won't be available for roughly a week while he sorts through his visa paperwork.

Brandon Montour - Helps out in overtime Montour notched an assist, two PIM, three blocked shots, four hits and a plus-2 rating in Friday's 4-3 overtime win over the Golden Knights.

Impact Montour has a helper in each of the last two contests, though he's also taken five penalties over his last six games. The defenseman sprung Jared McCann for a breakaway on the game-winning goal in overtime. Montour is fitting right in as a top-four blueliner for the Kraken, earning 11 points, 45 shots on net, 27 hits, 18 blocked shots, 16 PIM and a plus-5 rating through 14 appearances.

Oliver Bjorkstrand - Responds well to scratch Bjorkstrand scored a goal on three shots in Friday's 4-3 overtime win over the Golden Knights.

Impact Bjorkstrand was scratched Tuesday in Colorado, though it was more a message for the whole team from head coach Dan Bylsma. Nonetheless, Bjorkstrand took it to heart. His pressure led to an awkward poke check by Adin Hill, which bounced off Bjorkstrand and in for the Kraken's third goal. The winger is up to four tallies, two assists, 35 shots on net, 10 hits and a plus-2 rating through 14 appearances. The 29-year-old is likely to fill a middle-six role for much of the campaign.

Jared McCann - Scores in overtime win McCann scored a goal on two shots and went plus-2 in Friday's 4-3 overtime win over the Golden Knights.

Impact McCann stick-checked Jack Eichel to jar the puck loose and then took off the other way when Brandon Montour sprung him for a breakaway. McCann finished with a backhanded shot to seal the win, giving him three points over his last two games. The 28-year-old is up to seven goals, 10 assists, 33 shots on net, 11 blocked shots and a plus-7 rating through 15 outings in a top-line role this season. McCann is among the Kraken's most reliable scorers and does enough on offense to be rostered in most fantasy formats.

Brandon Tanev - Tallies twice in overtime win Tanev scored two goals on six shots and blocked two shots in Friday's 4-3 overtime win over the Golden Knights.

Impact Tanev got the Kraken on the board with a breakaway goal in the first period and showed a different kind of hustle to bury his second-period tally after Vegas failed to control a faceoff. The 32-year-old had gone 10 games without a point entering Friday, though he had 24 hits, 16 blocked shots and 10 shots on net in that span. Overall, the fourth-line winger has four points, 27 shots on goal, 35 hits and 20 blocks through 15 outings this season.

Joey Daccord - Gets back in win column Daccord stopped 21 of 24 shots in Friday's 4-3 overtime win over the Golden Knights.

Impact Daccord gave up two goals in the first period, but the Kraken were able to battle back. They took the lead in the third, though Alex Pietrangelo tied the game to force overtime. Daccord improved to 5-3-1 on the year with the win and now has a 2.79 GAA and a .912 save percentage through nine starts. The Kraken went back to alternating starts between Daccord and Philipp Grubauer to close out their recent road trip, but they've got a couple of favorable matchups ahead with games versus the Blue Jackets on Tuesday and the Blackhawks on Thursday.

Vince Dunn - Return not imminent Dunn (upper body) is set to resume skating around Sunday, but he won't be ready to play for roughly three weeks, Alison Lukan of the Kraken Hockey Network reports.

Impact Dunn's already missed 10 games as of Friday, and it appears his absence will linger much longer than the minimum required by his placement on long-term injured reserve. Ryker Evans will continue to hold down a power-play role while Josh Mahura stays in the lineup during Dunn's absence.

Daniel Sprong - Returning to Seattle Sprong was traded from the Canucks to the Kraken on Friday in exchange for future considerations.

Impact Sprong's stay in Vancouver lasted one month of the regular season and saw him produce just three points over nine appearances. He now returns to the location of his best season to date (21 goals, 46 points in 66 contests in 2022-23). Sprong's role likely won't change much in Seattle -- he's a fourth-liner at even strength who can use a strong shot to help on the power play. Given the Kraken have less high-end talent on the roster, Sprong could carve out a bit more ice time if he hits the ground running in his second stint with the team.

Joey Daccord - Facing Golden Knights Daccord was the first goaltender off the ice at morning skate and will defend the home crease versus Vegas on Friday, Mike Benton of the Kraken Audio Network reports.

Impact Daccord is 4-3-1 with a 2.76 GAA and a .915 save percentage in eight appearances this season. The 28-year-old netminder was perfect in his only game against the Golden Knights last season, turning aside all 35 shots in a 3-0 win Jan. 1.

Vince Dunn - Might resume skating soon Dunn (upper body) might start skating in the next few days, according to Mike Benton of the Kraken Audio Network.

Impact Dunn isn't eligible to be activated off long-term injured reserve until Nov. 12, and coach Dan Bylsma believes there's a chance the 28-year-old forward will be ready to play by that date. Dunn has a goal and three points in four appearances in 2023-24. When he's healthy, Dunn will likely serve in a top-six capacity and feature on the first power-play unit.
