Connor Carrick - En route to BakersfieldCarrick was placed on waivers Sunday for the purpose of assignment, according to Mark Spector of Sportsnet.

ImpactCarrick's last appearance in the NHL came during the 2022-23 campaign with Boston, where he appeared in just one contest. The 30-year-old was productive with AHL Coachella Valley in 2023-24, generating 34 points in 70 regular-season games. Carrick will likely be limited to AHL time this year, barring injury to Edmonton's blueliners.

Matt Savoie - Headed to AHLSavoie was loaned to AHL Bakersfield on Sunday, per Mark Spector of Sportsnet.

ImpactSavoie was battling for a roster spot with Edmonton after being acquired in a trade from Buffalo in July, but he'll have to develop his game in the minors to begin the season. The 20-year-old was selected No. 9 overall by the Sabres in the 2022 NHL Draft. The right-shot center appeared in just one contest for Buffalo in 2023-24.
