Brayden Schenn - Generates assist in loss Schenn had an assist, one shot on net and two PIM in Saturday's 5-2 loss to Montreal.
Impact Schenn's drive to the net in the second period was rebuffed by Sam Montembeault, but the ensuing sequence let to Jake Neighbours' game-tying tally. The assist was Schenn's second in as many games and third over the last four. He had practiced on the top line earlier this week, presumably as a potential replacement for Robert Thomas (lower body), but he's been back home centering the second line in the two games since. Schenn did a reasonable impression of Thomas, the Blues' faceoff leader (62.6 percent), by winning 15 of 22 (68.2 percent) draws Saturday.

Ryan Suter - Generates helper in loss Suter logged an assist, three blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Canadiens.
Impact Since Nick Leddy (lower body) landed on injured reserve, Suter has turned back the clock to fill a top-pairing role. He's exceeded 21 minutes of ice time in five straight games, going plus-6 in that span. The 39-year-old defenseman has just two points through nine games, but he's added 12 shots on net, 15 blocked shots and a plus-6 rating. He's not a factor on the power play, however, as those duties have gone to Justin Faulk and Philip Broberg.

Mathieu Joseph - Contributes helper in loss Joseph logged an assist, two shots on goal and three hits in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Canadiens.
Impact Joseph set up Colton Parayko's goal in the second period. The 27-year-old Joseph has filled a third-line role for much of the season, earning four points, 14 shots on net, 13 hits, five blocked shots and four PIM over nine contests. He's a little bit of a power winger, though his scoring output has him on the fringe of being an option for fantasy managers in deeper formats.

Jake Neighbours - On a roll Neighbors scored a goal on three shots and logged one hit in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Canadiens.
Impact Neighbors, who was left unencumbered in the slot, one-timed a feed from behind the net by Brandon Saad and tied the game at two apiece early in the second period. The goal was Neighbors' second in as many games and fourth in the last five. The second-line winger leads St. Louis with four goals.

Impact Parayko snuck in on the back side from the blue line and was in position to twice bang at a rebound before sliding it under Sam Montembeault to make it a 2-1 game. The tally was he first of the season for the defenseman, who also has four assists.

Jordan Binnington - Beaten four times in loss Binnington stopped 21 of 25 shots in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Canadiens.
Impact Binnington, coming off his best effort of the season in a 5-1 win over Toronto on Thursday, didn't get great support in front of him Saturday. This was the second time in six starts he's allowed four goals. The loss drops Binnington to 2-4 with 2.86 goals-against average and .903 save percentage. The Blues have two days before continuing their road trip in Ottawa on Tuesday.
