Alexandre Texier - Earns assist in St. Louis debut Texier logged an assist, two shots on goal and three blocked shots in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Kraken.
Impact Texier was listed on the second line for the season opener, but he saw just 13:03 of ice time. The 25-year-old still made an impact, setting up Jordan Kyrou for the game-winning goal at 15:37 of the second period. After a season overseas in 2022-23, Texier set career highs last year with Columbus, earning 12 goals, 30 points and 109 shots on net over 78 games played. He was traded to St. Louis in June and will have a chance to carve out a middle-six role with his new team, though he'll likely need to feature on the power play to generate more widespread fantasy appeal.

Justin Faulk - Two helpers in comeback win Faulk recorded two assists and two hits in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Kraken.
Impact The Blues scored three times over a span of 1:55 in the second period, and Faulk assisted on the first two goals during that flurry. The 32-year-old defenseman was limited to 30 points, 104 blocked shots and 83 hits over 60 contests in 2023-24 after missing time with various injuries. He's fully healthy to begin 2024-25, and he'll be picking up some of the scoring slack created in the absence of Torey Krug (ankle). Faulk's spot on the top power-play unit could help him get back over the 40-point mark for the fourth time in his career.

Jordan Binnington - Sets team record with win Binnington made 30 saves in a 3-2 win over Seattle on Tuesday.
Impact Binner put up strong numbers in 2023-24 and came out of the blocks with the same approach on the ice this year. With the win, Binnington became the Blues all-time leader in wins in a season opener. He has four, breaking a tie with Jaroslav Halak, Curtis Joseph, Mike Liut and Rick Warmsley.

Philip Broberg - Goal in debut in new city Broberg got a goal in a 3-2 win over the Kraken on Tuesday. It was his debut with the Blues.
Impact Broberg's goal knotted the game 2-2 at 15:17 of the middle frame with a wrist shot from the top of the left circle that fooled Philipp Grubauer glove side. And in an ironic twist, fellow offer-sheet teammate Dylan Holloway got an assist. Broberg has a chance in St. Louis to become the NHL regular he never was in Edmonton. His best play came in the Oilers recent run to the Finals when he put up two goals and three points in 10 games.

Jordan Kyrou - Tickles twine twice in win Kyrou scored twice Tuesday in a 3-2 win over the Kraken.
Impact Kyrou got the Blues first goal on the power play at 13:42 of the second period. He cut around Seattle defender Jamie Oleksiak and slid the puck through Philipp Grubauer's five-hole with a backhand. Then he clinched the game on a breakaway late in the third. Kyrou has averaged 32 goals and 72 points in each of last three seasons, but his plus-minus has swung wildly in that span. He had a minus-48 swing from 2021-22 to 2022-23, and then had a plus-26 swing in 2023-24. He's on an upward trajectory in that category, and Kyrou could establish a career-best season in points playing alongside Robert Thomas, who has emerged as a star playmaker.

Torey Krug - Shifts to LTIR Krug (ankle) was moved to long-term injured reserve Tuesday, per PuckPedia.
Impact After having ankle surgery in September to address pre-arthritic changes, Krug won't play during the 2024-25 campaign. Moving him to LTIR allows the Blues to exceed the salary cap by $6.03 million, according to PuckPedia. In Krug's absence, Justin Faulk will have increased roles this season, including more power-play time.
