Pavel Buchnevich - Offers power-play assistBuchnevich notched a power-play assist in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Islanders.
ImpactThe helper was Buchnevich's second over the last five games. He's been decent in November with two goals and five assists through 11 appearances, but the fact that he's in a top-line role while carrying an $8 million cap hit suggests that he should be capable of more. For the season, the 29-year-old has five goals, eight assists, four power-play points, 39 shots on net and a minus-6 rating over 22 appearances.

Robert Thomas - Slides power-play helperThomas provided a power-play assist and two PIM in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Islanders.
ImpactThomas has returned to his playmaking roots, earning an assist in each of his first three games back from a broken ankle. The 25-year-old is up to one goal, eight assists (three on the power play), 19 shots on net, 11 blocked shots and a minus-5 rating through 10 appearances this season. He's been able to replicate his shooting volume from 2023-24, so the goals should eventually follow even if he's not finding much luck right now.

Jake Neighbours - Scores on power play in lossNeighbours scored a power-play goal on five shots, added six hits and went minus-2 in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Islanders.
ImpactNeighbours has three goals over his last four contests, a span in which he's added nine shots and 12 hits. The 22-year-old winger has scored two of those tallies on the power play. He's up to seven goals, 10 points, 41 shots, 54 hits, 16 PIM and a minus-12 rating through 22 appearances. That's a similar scoring pace to last year, and Neighbours continues to see top-six usage, so he'll carry decent fantasy value in formats that reward his gritty play.

Jordan Binnington - Decent effort in lossBinnington stopped 28 of 30 shots in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Islanders. The third goal was an empty-netter.
ImpactBinnington has alternated wins and losses over his last four outings, but he's given up just nine goals in that span. The Islanders' second line controlled the scoring Saturday, with Kyle Palmieri and Brock Nelson responsible for the goals on Binnington's ledger. The 31-year-old goalie is now 6-9-1 through 17 appearances, adding a 3.04 GAA and an .891 save percentage. Those ratios aren't great, but his playing time can't be ignored in fantasy -- at least as long as he continues to see the vast majority of the starts over Joel Hofer.

Simon Holmstrom - Collects power-play assistHolmstrom provided a power-play assist in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Blues.
ImpactHolmstrom has two goals and three assists over his last seven outings. The 23-year-old winger had the secondary helper on Brock Nelson's second-period tally Saturday. Through 21 contests, Holmstrom is at 10 points (three on the power play), 19 shots on net, 14 blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating. He's seeing steady time in a third-line role and on the second power-play unit, giving him some fantasy appeal in deeper formats with a focus on offense.

Maxim Tsyplakov - Nabs power-play helperTsyplakov registered a power-play assist, three shots on goal, two hits and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Blues.
ImpactTsyplakov ended a four-game point drought when he set up Brock Nelson's second-period tally. While he's now 10 games removed from his last goal, Tsyplakov has four assists and 13 shots in that span, so he's getting his looks. The second-line winger is up to two goals, nine assists (two on the power play), 29 shots on net, 58 hits, 16 PIM and a plus-4 rating through his first 21 NHL outings.
26 MINS AGOROTOWIRE
Brock Nelson - In on all three goals in winNelson scored a power-play goal on four shots, added two assists and went plus-2 in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Blues.
ImpactNelson's second-period tally was the game-winner, and he also set up linemate Kyle Palmieri's two goals. This was Nelson's first multi-point effort since Oct. 25, and his third such game of the campaign. The 33-year-old center is up to eight tallies, five assists, 64 shots on net and a plus-5 rating over 21 appearances in a second-line role. He's right on track for a fourth straight 30-goal campaign, though a drop in his assist totals could see him struggle to reach the 50-point mark without a turnaround. That said, his goal was his first power-play point of the year, so he's due for some improvement in that area.
