Impact It was his 30th of the season and the ninth time Stamkos has hit that mark. He has the third-most 30-goal seasons among active players behind Alex Ovechkin (17) and Sidney Crosby (12). Stammer's goal also moved him past the great Maurice "Rocket" Richard for 32nd in NHL history (545).

This slump has come at a bad time for fantasy managers who are striving for their postseason at this point of the year. The winger, who turns 34 in February, really isn't showing signs of slowing down. Stamkos has 20 goals and 45 points in 46 games this season, and he's on pace for 35 goals. If he gets there, it would be the eighth time he will have hit that mark. And with 141 shots already, Stamkos is pacing toward his busiest shooting season since 2014-15 (268).

GM silences trade murmurs Stamkos will not be traded at the deadline, reports The Athletic.

Impact Stamkos is currently in the last year of this current contract, and he was frustrated before the start of the season that no extension had been offered. But Lightning general manager Julien BriseBois made it clear then that talks would resume this coming offseason once he had a chance to evaluate the entire roster. BriseBois still envisions Stamkos, who turns 34 in February, on the team beyond this season. Right now, the Bolts are fighting for a playoff spot, but Stamkos continues to prosper offensively and deliver strong fantasy value. He has 41 points, including 18 goals, in 41 games. Twenty-four of his points have come on the power play, and he continues to shoot a lot (250 projected shots).
