ImpactTampa Bay came out of the All-Star break very, very flat, and as a result Vasilevskiy faced a season high in shots for a regulation game -- the only time he saw more rubber was in a Nov. 3 shootout loss to Carolina, when he turned aside 52 of 55 shots. It was a rough way to start February, but the 28-year-old netminder still sports a 2.63 GAA and .916 save percentage on the season, and he is tied for second in the NHL with 23 wins.

Nicholas Paul - Leaves Tuesday's contestPaul (undisclosed) left Tuesday's game versus the Sharks in the second period, Chris Krenn of the Lightning's official site reports.
ImpactHead coach Jon Cooper had no update on Paul's status after the game. The 27-year-old has filled the third-line center spot pretty well, though he's now gone five games without a point. If he can't play Thursday versus the Avalanche, the Lightning will likely either recall a forward or use seven defensemen, with Pierre-Edouard Bellemare likely to pick up extra minutes in either situation.

Brian Elliott - Struggles in OT lossElliott allowed four goals on 22 shots in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Sharks.
ImpactElliot and the Lightning held a 3-1 lead after the first period. However, the Sharks would tie the game with goals in the second and third before Timo Meier scored the winner in overtime. The 37-year-old Elliott falls to 9-3-1 with a .898 save percentage on the season. Starts should be few and far between for Elliott down the stretch while backing up Andrei Vasilevskiy.
