Headed overseas Hirose agreed to terms on a one-year deal with German club Red Bull Munich on Friday.

Impact Hirose spent the entirety of the 2023-24 campaign in the minors with AHL Grand Rapids, registering nine goals and 27 helpers in 54 regular-season contests. In total, the Michigan State produce has appeared in 60 NHL contests in which he notched four goals and 16 assists. The move overseas could mark the end of 28-year-old Hirose's NHL career.

Impact Hirose managed only three NHL games last season, so it's no surprise that the 27-year-old was unable to crack the Detroit lineup.

If Hirose plays against the Penguins on Tuesday, it would likely be in a bottom-six role where he shouldn't be expected to log significant minutes.
