Impact Meier put the Devils up 1-0 in the first period when he jammed his own rebound past Andrei Vasilevskiy from close range after driving the net. Meier has compiled 121 points in 172 regular-season games since joining the Devils, including a 53-point performance in 2024-25. He is capable of more, but that's not likely in New Jersey. That 76-point season (2021-22) is probably an outlier, but playing beside Nico Hischier could deliver a 60-point season and a return to the 30-goal plateau.

Nets goal in Game 5 loss Meier scored a goal on five shots, added seven hits and blocked three shots in Tuesday's 5-4 double-overtime loss to the Hurricanes in Game 5.

Impact Meier had four points, 18 shots on net, 21 hits, eight blocked shots and a minus-1 rating over five playoff contests. The 28-year-old winger continues to be a part of the Devils' core and will likely be a big all-around contributor in 2025-26.
