The 34-year-old defenseman has been limited to bottom-four minutes for much of the campaign, which further depresses his already-low scoring potential. He's contributed nine points, 16 shots on net, 45 blocked shots, 13 hits, 12 PIM and a minus-18 rating through 37 appearances. A lack of offense and insufficient non-scoring production makes Brodie a non-factor in the vast majority of fantasy formats.

Impact Brodie's third-period tied the game at 2-2. He's picked up three points over his last four games, but Brodie hasn't added extra playing time under interim head coach Anders Sorensen. Brodie remains a low-scoring option on the third pairing. He has eight points, 14 shots on net, 38 blocked shots and a minus-10 rating over 29 appearances.

Impact Brodie has been decent lately with three helpers over his last seven outings, though he has a minus-2 rating in that span. The 34-year-old is up to five assists, 28 blocked shots, 10 shots on net and a minus-7 rating through 22 contests overall. His average ice time (15:34) is the lowest mark of his career, and coupled with minimal scoring upside, it makes him a poor choice to fill out the blue line of a fantasy roster.

Impact Brodie had been held off the scoresheet over his last 10 appearances, and he also had a three-game stint in the press box during that drought. He's playing in a bottom-four role and has virtually no upside on a low-scoring team.

He's topped the 20-point mark in two of the last five seasons, but he was over 30 points in each of the six years before that, so it's unlikely he returns to his former glory on offense.

The 33-year-old blueliner has been uncharacteristically productive on the offensive end of late -- he now has assists in back-to-back games and six in his last seven contests. Brodie has yet to score a goal in 74 games this season, though he's up to 24 assists with 152 blocked shots while averaging 21:46 of ice time.

Impact This was Brodie's second multi-point effort of the season. He set up Bobby McMann's opening tally in the first period and William Nylander's breakaway goal out of the penalty box in the third. Brodie has had to play a larger role with the Maple Leafs' defense depleted by absences, but the pressure should recede a bit with Morgan Rielly set to return from a suspension Thursday. Brodie has 15 helpers, 32 shots on net, 117 blocked shots and a plus-22 rating over 54 appearances, surpassing the 14 points he posted in 2022-23.

Impact Brodie isn't really a fantasy guy, so the points aren't much of a help. His usual steady defensive game has been somewhat queasy this season, though, and that's a troubling trend for the Leafs. Brodie's turnover rate has jumped, and his defensive zone exit success has declined. More troubling, the Leafs have allowed 39 goals at 5-on-5 with Brodie on the ice (44 games), which is one more than they did in his 58 games last season. And he has really struggled when pressured by opposing forecheckers, coughing up the puck a lot more often and failing to get clean exits on dump ins. None of this reflects on his fantasy line, but it does influence the lines of his goaltenders. And it could get Brodie shifted off the top pairing and away from Morgan Rielly.
