Bobby McMann - Exits Saturday's game McMann (lower body) will not return to Saturday's game versus the Red Wings.
Impact McMann was injured in the first period after playing 4:10 in the game. With the Maple Leafs trailing 4-1 after the first period, it's possible there's at least some precautionary motivation to keep McMann out of the rest of the game. Toronto ends the season with a road back-to-back versus the Panthers on Tuesday and the Lightning on Wednesday. If McMann can't suit up, Matthew Knies will likely see a larger role.

Joel Edmundson - Sitting Saturday Edmundson (undisclosed) won't play Saturday against Detroit, according to Mark Masters of TSN.
Impact Toronto is being very cautious with a new injury that popped up for Edmundson. He logged 19:22 of ice time in Toronto's 6-5 loss to New Jersey after missing eight games. Timothy Liljegren (upper body) will replace Edmundson in Saturday's lineup.

Timothy Liljegren - Returning Saturday Liljegren (upper body) will return to the lineup versus Detroit on Saturday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
Impact Liljegren has missed the last eight games and is expected to play alongside Morgan Rielly on the first unit. Liljegren has three goals, 20 assists and 115 blocked shots in 52 appearances. Liljegren's return will make Joel Edmundson a healthy scratch.

Max Domi - Game-time call Saturday Domi (undisclosed) will likely be a game-time decision versus Detroit on Saturday, according to NHL.com's Dave McCarthy.
Impact Domi was at Saturday's optional practice after missing Friday's morning skate. The 29-year-old has thrived on the top line with Auston Matthews and Tyler Bertuzzi of late, as he has four assists in his last two games. Should Domi be unavailable, look for Matthew Knies to get a shot on the top unit.

Matt Murray - Sent to AHL Murray (hip) was reassigned to AHL Toronto on a long-term injured reserve conditioning stint Saturday.
Impact Murray has been out of action all season, after undergoing bilateral hip surgery in October. Murray can only remain at the AHL level for three games or six days. He is expected to see his first game action of the year with the Marlies as they play Saturday at Syracuse and Wednesday in Rochester. He will become a UFA at the end of the year and could have trouble securing an NHL deal.

Impact Samsonov struggled mightily in his last start Thursday against the Devils, surrendering six goals on just 20 shots en route to a 6-5 defeat. He'll try to bounce back in a middling home matchup with a Detroit team that's averaging 3.05 goals on the road this year, 15th in the NHL.
