Mitchell Marner - Not playing on weekend Marner (ankle) will not suit up for the Maple Leafs weekend games, David Alter of The Hockey News reports.
Impact Coach Sheldon Keefe said Friday that Marner is progressing -- he has been skating the last few days -- but will not play Saturday versus Edmonton, nor on Sunday in Carolina. The 26-year-old has missed the last five games after he was injured versus Boston on Mar. 7. He has 25 goals and 76 points in 62 games this season. Max Domi has taken over Marner's spot on the top line, alongside Auston Matthews.

Ilya Lyubushkin - Unavailable for Saturday Lyubushkin (illness) will not be in the lineup against Edmonton on Saturday, David Alter of The Hockey News reports.
Impact Lyubushkin will be out of action for his third consecutive game due to his lingering illness. In seven games since joining the Leafs, the 29-year-old defenseman has managed just two assists, four shots and 28 hits. Given his limited offensive upside, most fantasy players won't be impacted by his continued absence.

Matt Murray - Takes shots before practice Murray (hip surgery) faced shots before practice Friday, for the first time since undergoing bilateral hip surgery in October, according to Terry Koshan of The Toronto Sun.
Impact Murray is not close to a return, but it was an important step in his recovery. Murray is on long-term injured reserve and is not expected to return this season. This is the final season of his four-year, $25 million contract and he is expected to hit free agency in July.

Tyler Bertuzzi - Not practicing Friday Bertuzzi (illness) missed practice Friday, David Alter of The Hockey News reports.
Impact Bertuzzi was feeling under the weather Wednesday in the Maple Leafs' 7-3 win in Washington, but he managed to score his 15th of the season. Bertuzzi has 34 points in 67 games this season, including five goals and an assist on the power play. He is day-to-day at this time and more should be known Saturday as to whether or not he will play against the Oilers.

Impact McCabe was able to end a 10-game goal drought with his tally Wednesday. In his last five outings, the 30-year-old blueliner seems to have found his offensive game with one goal and two assists to go with 11 hits and eight blocks. With just one more point, McCabe will reach a new personal best, topping the 25 he put up last season.

Simon Benoit - Physical force against Caps Benoit recorded nine hits with a blocked shot, a shot on net and a plus-1 rating in Wednesday's 7-3 win over the Capitals.
Impact The game got chippy in the third period as the Maple Leafs pulled away, and Benoit earned his keep with a dominant physical performance. The 25-year-old blueliner hasn't produced a point in his last nine games, but he's piled up 37 hits, 15 blocked shots and a plus-4 rating over that stretch, including three separate games with six-plus. Beniot's 184 hits on the season come in only 51 games, and as long as he stays out of the press box, he should reach 200 for the second straight campaign.

John Tavares - Three points in Wednesday's win Tavares scored a power-play goal and added two even-strength assists in Wednesday's 7-3 win over the Capitals.
Impact After helping to set up tallies by William Nylander in the second period and Bobby McMann in the third, Tavares capped the scoring on the night by flipping a backhand past Charlie Lindgren from in close. It's the third straight multi-point performance for Tavares, and over the last 14 games the 33-year-old has churned out eight goals and 14 points.

William Nylander - Three-point effort Wednesday Nylander produced a goal and two assists, with one helper coming on the power play, in Wednesday's 7-3 win over the Capitals.
Impact The 27-year-old is on another heater. Nylander has found the back of the net in four straight games, piling up four goals and seven points, and since the beginning of February he's delivered 15 goals and 30 points in 21 contests. Wednesday's performance put him over the 90-point mark on the season for the first time in his career, and he needs just nine more to reach the century mark with 14 games left on the Maple Leafs' schedule.

Max Domi - Four helpers against Caps Domi notched four assists in Wednesday's 7-3 win over the Capitals.
Impact The 29-year-old is taking advantage of his placement on a line with Auston Matthews while Mitchell Marner (ankle) is sidelined. During the five games Marner has missed, Domi has one goal and seven points, with Wednesday's four-point performance being a season high. His first season in Toronto has still largely been a disappointment though, and through 68 games Domi has just eight goals and 39 points.

Auston Matthews - Ties career high with five points Matthews scored two goals and added three assists, one on the power play, in Wednesday's 7-3 win over the Capitals.
Impact The 26-year-old center scored his 56th goal of the season just 16 seconds into the first period before potting his 57th midway through the second frame, and all three of his helpers came after that. The five points tied Matthews' single-game career high, and in addition to his league-leading goal total, he's up to 89 points through 67 games, keeping him on pace for his second 100-point campaign. He'll need 13 goals over Toronto's last 14 contests to reach 70, but it's not an impossible task for him -- Matthews scored 13 in 12 during the month of February alone.

Joseph Woll - Nabs win No. 10 Woll made 18 saves in Wednesday's 7-3 win over the Capitals.
Impact Auston Matthews scored just 16 seconds into the game and the Maple Leafs never looked back, carrying Woll to his 10th win of the season. The 25-year-old netminder has made four starts since returning from an ankle injury at the end of February, going 2-2-0 and allowing 13 goals on 105 shots (.876 save percentage). Woll remains firmly behind Ilya Samsonov on the depth chart for Toronto.
