Ilya Lyubushkin - Questionable Saturday Lyubushkin (undisclosed) was not at practice Friday after getting banged up Thursday in Philadelphia, Mark Masters of TSN reports.
Impact Coach Sheldon Keefe said Friday that Lyubushkin 'took some hits (Thursday) and things tightened up on him Friday.' Keefe said that the Maple Leafs were hopeful that Lyububshkin would be able to suit up Saturday against the Hurricanes, but the team will wait to see how he responds. Lyubushkin has two assists in six games with Toronto this season and chipped in with four helpers in 55 games with the Ducks earlier in the campaign. A decision should be made ahead of Saturday's home game.

Mitchell Marner - Remains unavailable Marner (ankle) won't be available for Saturday's game versus the Hurricanes, Joshua Kloke of The Athletic reports.
Impact Marner is dealing with a mild high-ankle sprain, and the Maple Leafs have yet to establish an expected timetable for his return. He'll miss a third straight contest Saturday. Pontus Holmberg will likely continue to see top-six minutes until Marner is ready to rock.

Calle Jarnkrok - Dealing with hand injury Jarnkrok is considered week-to-week due to a hand injury, Joshua Kloke of The Athletic reports Friday.
Impact Jarnkrok is just six games back from a previous hand injury that cost him 13 outings. In total, the winger is mired in a 15-game goal drought dating back to Jan. 6 against the Sharks during which he managed just two helpers and 20 shots. Without Jarnkrok in the lineup, Pontus Holmberg could be elevated to a first-line role, especially while Mitchell Marner (ankle) is also out.

Timothy Liljegren - Big two-point effort Liljegren had a goal and an assist in a 6-2 win over the Flyers on Thursday.
Impact Liljegren pushed the score to 3-0 with a shot from just inside the blue line at 15:30 of the first period. It stood as the winner. Liljegren hadn't picked up a goal in 22 games, and his overall play had of late has been mid (at best). The points don't erase his on-ice scuffles by any means, but it was a great night to boost his confidence.

Pontus Holmberg - Two-point game Holmberg had a goal and an assist in a 6-2 victory over Philadelphia on Thursday.
Impact Holmberg put the Leafs up 2-0 when he scored at 9:57 of the first period. He scored from the slot after a puck bounced to him off the skate of Flyers forward Morgan Frost. Holmberg has four goals and nine assists this season in 37 games. His value is tied to his ability on the ice, not in the fantasy arena.

William Nylander - Third straight 80-plus point year Nylander had a goal and an assist in a 6-2 win over Philadelphia on Thursday.
Impact His goal from the high slot in the third period put the Leafs up 5-1. It was his 35th on the season. Overall, Nylander is just one point from equalling his career mark of 86 points (2022-23). And his 85 points this season are his third consecutive 80-plus point season in the NHL. Nylander is a consistent fantasy producer who will help you seal a league win.

Auston Matthews - Sets another team record Matthews had a goal and an assist in a 6-2 win over Philadelphia on Thursday.
Impact The goal was his 55th of the season, which made him the first Maple Leafs player to ever reach the 55-goal mark multiple times in their career. Matthews put up 60 goals in 2021-22. And he is the only active NHLer with multiple seasons of 40 even-strength goals (44; 2021-22).
