Impact Samsonov was the first goalie off the ice during Monday's practice but the team elected to start Joseph Woll instead. Samsonov will likely start Wednesday against Buffalo or Thursday in Buffalo. He's gone 15-5-6 with a 3.23 GAA and an .883 save percentage this season.

Joseph Woll - Draws start Monday Woll will be stationed between the pipes for Monday's home tilt with the Bruins, Terry Koshan of The Toronto Sun reports.
Impact After missing nearly three months of action, Woll returned to face the Coyotes on Feb. 29 and stopped 30 of 32 shots in a win. He's 9-5-1 this season with a 2.74 GAA and a .918 save percentage through 16 appearances. The 25-year-old should start seeing fairly regular playing time now that he's healthy.

Impact Samsonov is coming off a 32-save performance in Saturday's 4-3 shootout win over the Rangers. Despite allowing 24 goals on 220 shots, he has emerged victorious in seven of his past eight outings. Impact It was his first point since his return from his five-game suspension. Rielly has 44 points, including 37 assists, in 55 games, but he continues to log big minutes that may detract from ability to deliver offense. Impact Nylander wired a point shot that deflected off Rangers defender Erik Gustafsson's stick in the slot to tie the game 2-2 and stretch his scoring streak to 10 games (18 points; eight goals, 10 assists). Nylander became the first player in Maple Leafs history to have three point streaks of at least 10 games in a single season. He had a 17-game point streak from Oct. 11-Nov. 19, and a 13-game streak from Nov. 30-Dec. 29. Willie is money in the bank for the Leafs and your fantasy squad.

Impact Samsonov was outplayed by Igor Shesterkin in the first half of the game, but he got better as the game wore on. He was both good and lucky in the overtime frame, stopping five shots. And his post helped him in the shootout. Still, with Joseph Woll on the bench, Samsonov has a bit of pressure on him to really perform. His 10-2-0 in his last 12 starts, which will allow the Leafs to ease Woll back in gently.
