Morgan Rielly - Helps out on power play Rielly notched a power-play assist and two shots on goal in Monday's 3-2 loss to the Islanders.
Impact Rielly has six helpers over his last five games, and his last three assists have all come on the power play. The 29-year-old defenseman is up to 41 points through 48 appearances, matching his output from 65 games a year ago. He's added 125 shots on net, 92 blocked shots, 39 hits and an even plus-minus rating, and 15 of his points have come with the man advantage.

William Nylander - Registers power-play helper Nylander notched a power-play assist, six shots on goal and a minus-2 rating in Monday's 3-2 loss to the Islanders.
Impact Nylander went into the All-Star break on a three-game dry spell, but he snapped it with a helper Monday. He was held off the scoresheet in seven of his last nine outings in January, a rare sequence of struggles for the 27-year-old, whose slump came just after he signed an eight-year extension with a cap hit at $11.5 million. Nylander is still among the best forwards in the league with 62 points (23 on the power play), 203 shots on net and a plus-1 rating through 48 appearances this season.

Auston Matthews - Logs assist Monday Matthews posted an assist and four shots on goal in Monday's 3-2 loss to the Islanders.
Impact Matthews helped out on a Mitchell Marner tally in the second period. The assist extended Matthews' point streak to seven games (seven goals, four helpers), though it was just the second outing in that span in which he didn't score. The 26-year-old center is up to 59 points, 202 shots, 56 blocked shots, 43 hits and a plus-15 rating over 47 appearances this season. With 40 goals on his ledger, his career high of 60 tallies from 2021-22 is very much within reach.

Mitchell Marner - Nets goal in loss Marner scored a goal in Monday's 3-2 loss to the Islanders.
Impact Marner scored early in the second period, briefly tying the game at 1-1 before Kyle MacLean answered for the Islanders. After racking up 15 points across 13 outings in January, Marner is off to a solid start in February. The winger has 21 goals, 54 points, 119 shots on net, 40 blocked shots and a plus-12 rating through 48 contests overall as a fixture in Toronto's top six.

John Tavares - Pair of points in loss Tavares scored a power-play goal on six shots, dished an assist and added two PIM in Monday's 3-2 loss to the Islanders.
Impact Tavares made an impact against his former team, but the Maple Leafs came up short anyway. Prior to the All-Star break, the center endured a nine-game point drought that he snapped in the last game before the pause. Monday marked his first multi-point effort since Dec. 14. With the slump behind him, Tavares should resume being a solid fantasy option. He's produced 14 goals, 23 assists, 180 shots on net, 52 hits and a minus-2 rating through 48 contests this season.

Ilya Samsonov - Surrenders three goals in loss Samsonov allowed three goals on 29 shots in Monday's 3-2 loss to the Islanders.
Impact The Maple Leafs were able to overcome a pair of one-goal deficits, but the Islanders answered quickly each time to send Samsonov to his first loss in four games. The 26-year-old has gone five straight outings without giving up more than three goals, a stretch that's gotten him back in the No. 1 job between the pipes. He's now at 8-4-6 with a 3.35 GAA and an .879 save percentage over 20 starts this season.
