Mitchell Marner - Snipes goal on power playMarner scored a goal in a 4-1 win over the Sharks on Saturday.
ImpactMarner opened the scoring at 15:22 of the first period, scoring with a one-timer from the left circle on a 5-on-3 power play. He has a point in back-to-back games, and he now has 40 points, including 15 goals, in 37 games. But he has put up points (two goals, four assists) in just four of his last nine games. He did the same in November, putting up points (three assists) in just two of eight games. Fantasy managers would much prefer steady production game in and game out, rather than bursts and quiet stretches.

Martin Jones - Third win on Cali road tripJones made 23 saves in a 4-1 victory over the Sharks on Saturday.
Impact"He's been great on this trip," Toronto coach Sheldon Keefe said of Jones. "It's been a little bit of homecoming for him going back to California. We've leaned on him a lot, and he's been tremendous." Jones allowed two goals on 83 shots (.976 save percentage) during the three-game road trip. It included one shutout. Jones' performance since his call-up has been a huge bonus for the Leafs.

William Nylander - Six points in last three gamesNylander had two goals and an assist in a 4-1 win over San Jose on Saturday.
ImpactNylander has six points (four goals, two assists) in his past three games. His first goal came midway through the third when he scored blocker side with a wrist shot from the right circle. Nylander's second of the game came at 16:28 when he banked in a shot from below the goal line after Mackenzie Blackwood stopped his one-timer from point-blank range. He sits fifth on the NHL scoring list with 54 points, one behind Artemi Panarin and David Pastrnak who are tied for third. Next up should be an All-Star nod and a massive contract extension and raise.

Mackenzie Blackwood - Fifth straight lossBlackwood made 29 saves in a 4-1 loss to the Maple Leafs on Saturday.
ImpactBlackwood was great in the first, allowing one power-play goal on a 5-on-3, while stopping 16 shots. The Leafs outshot the Sharks 17-3 in that frame. But Blackwood was on an island - his teammates didn't muster much offense, and they were outworked by a strong Leafs lineup. His last win was Dec. 12, and he has lost five straight since then.
