The 27-year-old may be ready to play a full game this time around, though Matt Villalta will back him up. Ingram is expected to share the crease with Karel Vejmelka once the regular season begins.

Impact Bjugstad figures to be a lock to start the season on long-term injured reserve considering he will be out of action for more than the required 10 games and 24 days. The absence of Bjugstad from the lineup should open up more minutes for both Logan Cooley and Alex Kerfoot. Additionally, Aku Raty could be in line to crack the 23-man roster thanks to the extra spot that will become available when Bjugstad hits LTIR.

John Marino - Will miss Opening Night Marino (upper body) will not be in the lineup against the Blackhawks on Oct. 8, Craig Morgan of ALLCITY Network reports.
Impact Marino managed 25 points in 75 games last season despite not having a power-play role with the club. Utah has yet to provide a more concrete timeline for the 27-year-old blueliner to return to action, so fantasy players will likely have to wait for more information to become available. Impact Connauton collected three goals and 18 points across 61 regular-season contests with AHL Ontario in 2023-24. The 34-year-old defender has 28 goals and 80 points over 360 career NHL contests. Assuming he doesn't get claimed off waivers, he could be a call-up option for Utah in the 2024-25 campaign.

Impact Sokolov generated 21 goals and 46 points in 71 regular-season contests for AHL Belleville in 2023-24. The 24-year-old forward has one goal and one assist in 13 career NHL appearances. Still, he could see NHL action during the 2024-25 campaign with Utah, assuming he goes unclaimed.

Matt Villalta - Receives starting nod in goal Villalta will protect the road goal in Friday's preseason game at Vegas, Danny Webster of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.
Impact Villalta signed a two-year contract with Utah in June, though he is on a two-way deal. The 25-year-old made his NHL debut in 2023-24 and played in a total of two games for the Coyotes, allowing five goals on 29 shots. As long as Connor Ingram and Karel Vejmelka stay healthy, Villalta is unlikely to see much NHL time.

Nick Bjugstad - Set to miss Opening Night Bjugstad (upper body) isn't expected to be ready for Utah HC's Opening Night against Chicago on Oct. 8, per Craig Morgan of ALLCITY Network on Wednesday.
Impact It's not clear how much time Bjugstad will miss, but he was already listed as week-to-week as of last Thursday. He had 22 goals and 45 points in 76 contests with Arizona in 2023-24. Once he's available, Bjugstad is expected to serve in a middle-six capacity.
