Jett Woo - Up from AHL Woo was summoned from AHL Abbotsford on Wednesday.

Impact Woo has five goals, 18 points and 41 PIM in 44 contests this season. The 23-year-old defenseman hasn't played in the NHL yet, but Carson Soucy (hand) joining fellow blueliners Guillaume Brisebois (undisclosed) and Tucker Poolman (head) on the long-term injured reserve list, Woo might make his debut as early as Thursday versus Seattle.

Carson Soucy - Transferred to LTIR Soucy (hand) was moved to long-term injured reserve Wednesday.

Impact Soucy was already on regular injured reserve, and he's already missed the 10 games and 24 days necessary for LTIR. The 29-year-old defenseman is not expected back until early March, but this move could free up the salary space for the Canucks to make some trades in the near future.

Dakota Joshua - On injured reserve Joshua (upper body) was put on injured reserve Wednesday.

Impact The move can be retroactive to Feb. 13, so Joshua can be activated whenever he's healthy. That said, Vancouver likely wouldn't have put him on IR unless he was expected to miss at least one more game, so Joshua shouldn't be counted on to return Thursday versus Seattle. He has 13 goals, 26 points, 46 PIM and 191 hits in 53 outings in 2023-24.

J.T. Miller - Four-point effort in loss Miller collected three goals and a helper in the 10-7 loss to Minnesota on Monday.

Impact Miller scored three goals on Filip Gustavsson - two on the power play and one at even strength - prior to the goalie being pulled for Marc-Andre Fleury to start the third period. Unfortunately for Miller and the Canucks, they could not hold the lead as Minnesota scored five consecutive goals on only six shots on net. The 30-year old center did his best to stop the bleeding when he provided a primary assist on a Nikita Zadorov goal to cut the lead to two goals but they could not tie it up. Casey DeSmith - Surrenders eight goals DeSmith stopped 17 of 25 shots in Monday's 10-7 loss to the Wild. The ninth and tenth goals were empty-netters.

Impact DeSmith did not make any starts for the Canucks over the past four games and after facing the Wild today he probably wishes he sat a fifth straight. With the Canucks up 5-3 to start the third period, Minnesota scored five consecutive goals on only six shots on net. The first four goals of the third period were all on the power play - two of them with a two-man advantage - and the fifth was by Kirill Kaprizov on a Canucks turnover in their own end. The Canucks made it close by scoring two more goals, scored by Nikita Zadorov and Brock Boeser, but they could not tie it up with an extra attacker and DeSmith on the bench. The 32-year old netminder finished with a .680 save percentage.
