Max Sasson - Point in NHL debutSasson picked up an assist in his NHL debut Saturday, a 4-3 win over the Senators.
ImpactHe pulled the D toward him, pulled up and found Teddy Blueger trailing. Sasson played 7:49 and finished plus-1. And he earned the requisite shaving cream bomb from teammates in a TV interview after the game. Sasson is a bottom-six guy with a motor that never quits. His fantasy game is limited, but his enthusiasm is great to watch.

Quinn Hughes - Ejected for boardingHughes received a game misconduct and five-minute major for boarding in the first period of Saturday's 4-3 win over Ottawa.
ImpactHe drilled Josh Norris into the boards from behind. It wasn't a hard hit, but Norris was cut and left the game temporarily. That means officials had no option but to issue a boarding major -- rule 41.5 enforces a game misconduct when there is an injury to the face or head of the opponent. And a match penalty means an automatic review by the NHL. Hughes and Norris are close friends who played together for the USNTDP and University of Michigan. A suspension is unlikely, but the reality is that Hughes had a brain burp -- no guy should cross check a player in the numbers at that distance from the boards.

Linus Ullmark - Queasy season continuesUllmark made 17 saves in a 4-3 loss to Vancouver on Saturday.
ImpactHe wasn't bad, but he wasn't great, and that's been a tale of his time in Ottawa. Ullmark is a strong netminder, but he has just four wins and has struggled with a 3.10 GAA and .881 save percentage. He should stabilize soon enough, but playing behind the Sens defense is a whole lot different than playing within the strong Bruins system.

Drake Batherson - Three-game, four-point streakBatherson had two assists in a 4-3 loss to the Canucks on Saturday.
ImpactOne came on the power play. Batherson is on a three-game, four-point streak (eight shots), and he has 20 points (eight goals, 12 assists), 35 hits and 46 shots in 20 games this season. Batherson has been especially prolific with the man advantage. Four each of his goals and assists have come on the power play.

Tim Stutzle - Sets team record for goalsStutzle scored a goal Saturday in a 4-3 loss to Vancouver.
ImpactStutzle is the first player in Senators history to score 100 NHL goals before his 23rd birthday. He has nine goals, 15 assists and 44 shots in 20 games so far, and that pace puts Stutzle on course for a 98-point season. His 20.5 shooting percentage is abnormally high, so his goal pace may slow. But a near triple-digit point total is fantasy elite.

Claude Giroux - November may be turning aroundGiroux had a goal and an assist in a 4-3 loss to the Canucks on Saturday.
ImpactGiroux helped key a third-period push with a power-play goal late in the frame; his goal pushed the score to 4-2. November hasn't been kind to Giroux, who has just four points, three of which have come in the last two games, in 11 games. He's a bit of a fantasy risk right now until the team, which is on a five-game losing skid, finds some consistency.
