Logan Thompson - Out Saturday Thompson (upper body) will miss Saturday's road game against Florida, per the NHL media site.
Impact Jiri Patera is expected to start Saturday while Isaiah Saville will serve as the backup goaltender. Thompson, who is set to miss his second straight contest, has a 10-5-3 record, 2.71 GAA and .905 save percentage in 19 appearances this season. He'll get some additional time to recover over the Christmas break before Vegas' next game in Anaheim on Wednesday.

Impact Hutton has a goal, eight points, nine hits and 37 blocks in 28 contests this season. The 30-year-old's been a decent bottom-four option for the Golden Knights and has also seen time on the second power-play unit. Hutton, who is in the second season of a two-year, $1.7 million deal, could have become an unrestricted free agent this summer if he didn't agree to an extension.

Impact The points extended his point streak to 12 games (19 points; seven goals, 12 assists). Eichel is on pace for a career-best 94 points. His previous best (82) came in Buffalo in 2018-19. Interestingly enough, Eichel already has 12 power-play points, including five goals there, in just 34 games. Last season, he had 14 in 67 contests. And he scored five PPG over the last two seasons. The confidence of a Cup winner is clear. Eichel is dialled in and on fire, and is tied for 11th over all in league scoring with Sam Reinhart and Cale Makar.

Impact Patera battled all night and can't be faulted, even on the winning goal. He made a save on Brayden Point and deftly directed the rebound to the deep left wing side of his net. But Nick Paul was standing right there and instantly knifed a snipe from almost the goal line. Patera will dress and play as long as Logan Thompson (upper body) and Adin Hill (undisclosed) remain sidelined. The team around him is strong, so Patera could end up being a solid short-term play.
