Jonathan Quick - Starting Thursday Quick will defend the road crease in Tampa Bay on Thursday, Jesse Granger of The Athletic reports.

Impact Quick won his first start with the Golden Knights on Sunday, giving up three goals on 28 shots in defeating Montreal. Quick had a tough time in his last season with the Kings, going 11-13-4 with a 3.50 GAA and .876 save percentage before his trade to Columbus and then Vegas last week. Quick will face the Lightning, who are sixth in NHL scoring, averaging 3.48 goals per game this season.

Impact Quick almost won in regulation, but the Bolts scored twice in 1:39 late in the third to force overtime. Nikita Kucherov fired a one-timer outside the right circle that went in off the near post at 17:53. And then Kucherov completely fooled Quick with a fake from the right dot that he one-timed to Brayden Point in the slot, and the latter scored into the open net with 28 seconds left. Quick is now 2-0-0 on the Strip. Thursday was the first time he has topped .900 (.919) in save percentage since Dec. 23, 2022.
