Logan Thompson - Gets start Thursday Thompson was the first goaltender off the ice at practice Thursday, indicating he will be in the visiting crease versus Minnesota, according to Jessi Pierce of NHL.com.
Impact Thompson is 1-4-2 in his last seven starts, but his support has been lacking as the Golden Knights have found the back of the net only 14 times and that includes the six goals in their lone win over Washington. Overall, Thompson is 19-13-3 with a 2.69 GAA and .913 save percentage. He will face the Wild, who have averaged 3.00 goals per game, tied for 21st in the NHL.

Impact Thompson needed help from teammates to get off the ice, and he couldn't put any weight on his left leg as he exited. Prior to the injury, he stopped 23 of 24 shots, and barring a meltdown from the Golden Knights, he'll still reach the 20-win mark for the season, but the concern is rightfully on the injury at this point. An update on Thompson's status should surface prior to Sunday's game versus the Ducks. Adin Hill will likely see most of the action if Thompson misses time, while Laurent Brossoit could be in line to be called up.

Impact Hill entered the game early in the third period after Thompson needed help getting off the ice. If that injury causes Thompson to miss time, Hill would likely step into a strong No. 1 role for the Pacific Division's top team. He hasn't allowed more than three goals in any of his last nine appearances. The 26-year-old is at 11-5-1 with a 2.58 GAA and a .909 save percentage through 20 outings this season.
