Recalled from minors Rybinski was called up from AHL Hershey on Saturday.

Impact The Capitals are down to 12 healthy forwards after placing Lars Eller on injured reserve with an illness. Rybinski had six goals and 14 assists across 28 AHL appearances this season. He will likely be a healthy scratch as the Capitals' 13th forward, but if he does enter the lineup Saturday, he will be making his NHL debut.

Impact Roy ended a four-game dry spell when he assisted on Aliaksei Protas' first-period tally. With three helpers over eight games in December, Roy continues to offer a little depth offense while seeing top-four minutes on the Capitals' blue line. The 29-year-old defenseman has a total of eight points, 33 shots on net, 52 hits, 34 blocked shots and a plus-6 rating through 22 appearances this season.

Nabs assist on home ice Lapierre recorded an even-strength assist in Friday's 3-1 win over Carolina.

Impact Lapierre generated the primary assist on Jakub Vrana's second-period marker to put Washington up 2-0. The helper snapped a six-game point slump for Lapierre, but he's yet to find the back of the net this season. The 22-year-old's 6:04 of ice time was a team-low, so he'll need to work on gaining the trust of head coach Spencer Carberry in order to carve out a larger role. Lapierre has logged seven helpers, four PIM, 17 shots, 12 blocks, nine hits and a minus-4 rating through 25 appearances.

Impact Mangiapane registered the primary helper on Aliaksei Protas' 12th goal of the season to open the scoring late in the opening frame. After failing to find the scoresheet in Washington's first five games of December, Mangiapane has registered a point in back-to-back contests. The left-shot winger has reached the 40-point mark in three consecutive campaigns, but he's on pace to fall well short of that number in 2024-25. The 28-year-old has contributed seven goals, five helpers and a plus-6 rating through 31 appearances.

Snaps five-game goal drought Friday McMichael potted a goal on four shots and added one block, two takeaways and a plus-1 rating in 19:14 of ice time Friday in a 3-1 win over Carolina.

Impact McMichael scored his team-leading 16th goal of the season late in the middle frame to give Washington a 3-0 lead. The 23-year-old has cooled after racking up 24 points over the first two months of the campaign, as he's provided just two goals and two helpers through eight games in December. Even though his production has decreased, the Ontario native ranks second on the Capitals with 16 goals and 28 points through 32 appearances.

Chips in goal Friday Vrana scored a goal on his only shot in Friday's 3-1 win over the Hurricanes.

Impact Vrana put Washington up 2-0 at 16:11 of the middle frame by ripping one past Pyotr Kochetkov's glove side. The marker snapped a four-game goal drought for Vrana. The 28-year-old is filling a third-line role, but he saw only 6:48 of ice time in Friday's win. Vrana has made the most of his opportunities, as he's provided five goals and four assists while averaging 9:59 of ice time through 19 appearances.

Impact Protas opened the scoring late in the first period by deflecting an Andrew Mangiapane shot past Pyotr Kochetkov. The goal snapped a three-game point drought for Protas. The 23-year-old is just two points shy of matching his career high that he set last season. The left-shot winger ranks third on the Caps in points, and he's up to 12 goals, 27 points, six PIM, 59 shots on goal and a plus-16 rating through 32 appearances. Protas is shooting at a 20.3 percent clip, though, so he could see some regression in that area over the course of the campaign.

Impact Lindgren collected his seventh win in his last nine appearances Friday. The 31-year-old has been spectacular in December, posting a 3-1-0 record, .942 save percentage and 1.50 GAA through four appearances. The Minnesota native has allowed exactly one goal in three of those four contests. Lindgren is up to a 10-6-0 record, 2.59 GAA and .905 save percentage through 16 appearances.
