Charlie Lindgren - Starting in Detroit Lindgren will defend the road net Tuesday against the Red Wings, Bailey Johnson of The Washington Post reports.
Impact Lindgren is coming off a 26-save effort in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to Florida. He has a 12-8-5 record this season with three shutouts, a 2.64 GAA and a .914 save percentage across 27 appearances. Detroit sits sixth in the league this campaign with 3.50 goals per contest.

Impact Mantha was questionable coming into Monday's contest after suffering an injury late in Saturday's loss to the Panthers. The 29-year-old winger would ultimately suit up and make an impact offensively, assisting on Aliaksei Protas' opening tally in the first period before adding another helper on a Hendrix Lapierre goal in the second. The 29-year-old Mantha now has seven points (two goals, five assists) in his last six contests. He's up to 18 goals and 31 points through 53 games this season.

Impact Protas opened the scoring 6:30 into the first period, sliding a backhander by Anton Forsberg off a rush to give the Caps a 1-0 lead. The 23-year-old forward would add an assist on Beck Malenstyn's goal later in the frame before setting up Hendrix Lapierre in the second. Impact Kuemper allowed a pair of goals in the first period and another to Brady Tkachuk early in the second. However, the 33-year-old netminder would eventually settle in and blank the Senators from there en route to the 6-3 win.
