T.J. Oshie - Won't play in 2024-25 Oshie will be put on long-term injured reserve due to a chronic back injury that's expected to cost him the entire 2024-25 campaign, per Tom Gulitti of NHL.com on Wednesday. Impact Oshie had 12 goals and 25 points in 52 regular-season games with Washington in 2023-24. While the possibility of him someday returning to the NHL hasn't been ruled out, Oshie will turn 38 on Dec. 23 and is set to become an unrestricted free agent in the summer of 2025. If he has played in his final game, then he'll be hanging up his skates after scoring 302 goals and 695 points across 1,010 career regular-season contests. He also won the Stanley Cup with Washington in 2018 and played a vital role in that playoff run, supplying eight goals and 21 points in 24 outings.
