Nikolaj Ehlers - Helps Winnipeg complete comeback Ehlers registered a primary assist in Friday's 2-1 overtime win against Chicago.
Impact Ehlers fired a shot on Arvid Soderblom that kicked out to Mark Scheifele, who buried the rebound to tie the game late in the third period. Ehlers added three shots and a plus-1 rating in 16:48 of ice time. The 28-year-old suited up for the entirety of Winnipeg's regular season in 2023-24 for the first time since the 2017-18 campaign. If Ehlers can stay healthy again, he should be able to crack the 60-point mark for a second consecutive season given his top-six role and spot on the top power-play unit.

Josh Morrissey - Nabs apple in win Morrissey picked up an even-strength assist in Friday's 2-1 overtime win against the Blackhawks.
Impact Morrissey registered the secondary assist on Mark Scheifele's game-winning goal in overtime. In addition to producing a helper, Morrissey had two shots, two blocks and a plus-2 rating to go along with a team-high 26:17 of ice time. The left-shot blueliner's role is conducive to producing points given his role as the clear No. 1 defenseman and quarterback of the top power-play unit. Through the first two games of the 2024-25 campaign, Morrissey is up to three assists and a plus-4 rating.

Kyle Connor - Sets up game winner Connor notched the primary assist on the game-winning goal in overtime of Friday's 2-1 win against the Blackhawks.
Impact Connor has points in consecutive games to start the season after setting up Mark Scheifele for the game winner Friday. Connor fired three shots and added a plus-1 rating in 20:18 of ice time. The Michigan native hovered just under a point-per-game pace in 2023-24, but he missed 17 games due to injuries. Connor should be able to get back to the 80-point mark, which he accomplished in 2022-23, as long as he can stay healthy -- the left-shot forward is arguably Winnipeg's most dangerous forward.

Mark Scheifele - Buries game winner in overtime Scheifele scored twice, with one being the game winner, in Friday's 2-1 overtime victory against Chicago.
Impact Scheifele was set up on a give-and-go by Kyle Connor for the game-winning marker in overtime. Scheifele added six shots, one block and a plus-1 rating in 21:33 of ice time. The right-shot center is off to a great start through the first two games of the season with three goals and one assist. The Ontario native will skate in his 800th career NHL game when Winnipeg hosts Minnesota on Sunday.

Connor Hellebuyck - In mid-season form Hellebuyck turned aside 25 of 26 shots in Friday's 2-1 overtime win against Chicago.
Impact Hellebuyck has been close to perfect through the first two games of the season -- he's made a combined 55 saves on 56 shots, good for a .982 save percentage and a 0.50 GAA. With Kaapo Kahkonen being claimed off waivers by Colorado on Friday, the goaltender picture is now clear for the Jets. Hellebuyck's top backup will be Eric Comrie in 2024-25, barring any future transactions relating to the goaltending position by Winnipeg. Hellebuyck's next chance to dominate between the pipes will come Sunday against Minnesota.
