Sean Monahan - Flipped for first-round pick Monahan was traded to the Jets from the Canadiens on Friday in exchange for a 2024 first-round pick and a conditional 2027 third-round pick, Pierre LeBrun of The Athletic reports.
Impact Monahan will provide short-term cover for the Jets while Mark Scheifele (lower body) is out of action while also giving Winnipeg a solid one-two punch down the middle once Scheifele returns to action. In 49 games for the Habs this season, the 29-year-old Monahan has notched 13 goals and 22 helpers, including 16 power-play points, and should be capable of topping the 50-point threshold for the first time since 2018-19 when he notched a career-high 82 points.

Gabriel Vilardi - Returns from injury Vilardi registered a shot on goal in Saturday's 4-2 loss against the Maple Leafs.
Impact After missing the last two games for the Jets, Vilardi (lower body) returned to his regular right wing spot on the second line and was centered by Rasmus Kupari. He had the third most ice time amongst the forwards, getting 17:30 TOI and ended up with a minus-1 rating. He heads into the NHL All-Star break with 20 points on the season in 27 games played.

Josh Morrissey - Garners assist Morrissey notched an assist and blocked two shots in Saturday's 4-2 loss to the Maple Leafs.
Impact The loss was not from a lack of effort from Morrissey as he was on the ice for almost half the game, playing 34 shifts while notching 27:21 TOI. His assist late in the third period was too late, as only 12 seconds remained after the Jets cut the lead to 4-2. The 28-year old defenseman added two shots, one hit, a minus-2 rating and two blocked shots. The Jets are off for the NHL All-Star break and will return on Feb. 6 when they visit the Penguins.

Connor Hellebuyck - Yields three goals in loss Hellebuyck stopped 26 of 29 shots in Saturday's 4-2 loss to the Maple Leafs The fourth goal was an empty-netter.
Impact With the Jets up 1-0 late in the first period, Ryan Reaves tipped a shot from Noah Gregor past Hellebuyck that he had no chance on. The Maple Leafs then proceeded to fire 22 more shots at him, scoring on two power-play goals, including the 40th by Auston Matthews. He finished with an .897 save percentage on the night. The 30-year old netminder has started seven out of Winnipeg's past nine games and has a .936 save percentage with only 13 goals allowed over that span. Hellebuyck is now going to be heading off to the NHL All-Star game in Toronto.

Brenden Dillon - Injury clarified Dillon left Saturday's game versus the Maple Leafs with a back injury, Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press reports.
Impact Head coach Rick Bowness added that Dillon's injury is unlikely to be a long-term issue. The Jets are not expected to practice until Feb. 4 since they are now on their bye week ahead of the All-Star break. Dillon's status for the Jets' next game versus the Penguins will likely be determined closer to that contest's Feb. 6 date.
