One of football’s most decorated players at the professional and collegiate levels, Charles Woodson begins his third season as an analyst for FOX NFL KICKOFF. FOX NFL KICKOFF airs Sundays during the football season from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM ET on FOX.
The 2021 Pro Football Hall of Fame cornerback has been part of FOX Sports’ NFL and college football studio programming since 2019, having contributed to coverage of some of the network’s biggest games over the past two seasons. Among the highlights, Woodson returned to Ann Arbor for the famed Michigan-Ohio State rivalry in 2019 and joined Reggie Bush and Matt Leinart inside "Club Heisman" on BIG NOON KICKOFF.
Woodson played 18 seasons in the NFL with the Oakland Raiders and Green Bay Packers, racking up a list of accolades including Super Bowl XLV champion, 2009 Defensive Player of the Year, 1998 Defensive Rookie of the Year and the 2015 Art Rooney Sportsmanship Award. He was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in February 2021, his first year on the ballot, and was enshrined in Canton in August 2021.
A nine-time Pro Bowl selection while in the NFL, Woodson found time during his career to focus on off-the-field endeavors, including his own wine and whiskey brand. Woodson will contribute sports wagering commentary through appearances on both linear and digital platforms under the FOX Sports umbrella. Woodson will also promote FOX Bet Super 6, a standalone free-to-play app where users make picks and win real cash.
Prior to his professional career, Woodson was a two-time All-American at Michigan and led the Wolverines to an undefeated season and National Championship in 1997, the same year he became the only individual to win the Heisman Trophy.
Woodson was born in Freemont, Ohio. Married to wife, April, the couple has two sons, Charles Jr. and Chase.
