Eniola Aluko joins FOX Sports in her third consecutive FIFA World Cup™ as an analyst. A natural goal scorer who rose to prominence with the England women’s national team from 2004 – 2016, Aluko netted 33 goals in 102 appearances for the Lionesses. She competed in three FIFA Women’s World Cups™, two UEFA Women’s Euros and the 2012 Summer Olympics. She’s also double-FA Women’s Cup winner and three-time Premier/Super League champion, and was league top-scorer with Chelsea.
In 2014, Aluko made history when she became the first female analyst on BBC’s Match of the Day. She’s also contributed her voice and insights to ITV, Sky, BT Sport and the BBC coverage of the women’s and men’s game.
Aluko currently serves as the Sporting Director at Angel City Football Club, where she plays an integral role in creating and building the inaugural team of players and staff. As Sporting Director, she leads roster management, the club’s recruitment strategy, recruitment negotiations, contracts, while contributing to player development. Before joining ACFC, Aluko served as the Sporting Director at Aston Villa FC and oversaw the club retaining their position in England’s top-flight competition.
