Grischa Promel - Carted off with ankle injury Promel was forced off in the first half of Saturday's match with RB Leipzig due to an ankle injury.

Impact Promel suffered the injury in a collision with teammate Christoph Baumgartner and was forced off just 18 minutes. It seemed a serious injury, so expect Promel to be out until after the World Cup, but confirmation of that should be available post match.

Impact Promel failed to get anything going Sunday, managing just the single tame shot. Whether he just needs time to gel with his new team remains to be seen, but Promel has shown occasional flashes of his goal-scoring acumen. Promel has shot 22 times, putting five on target, a rate well beyond that of his 2021/22, where he totaled 37 shots.

Add in four clean sheets and Baumann remains a solid and impressive goalkeeping option, on pace for double-digit clean sheets for the first time since 2016/17.

Impact Kabak was riding the line with multiple challenges while sitting on a yellow card before a stoppage time tackle on Florian Dietz saw Kabak sent off. Dietz had to be helped off the pitch, in what was a moment of madness from Kabak. The center-back will be suspended for a Saturday clash with Leipzig, where he will possible be replaced by Kevin Akpoguma, though an injury to Kevin Vogt could see Hoffenheim forced into a change of formation.

Impact Bruun Larsen made just his second start, and scored his first goal Sunday. The attacker has been largely used off the bench before this start came out of nowhere to replace Andrej Kramaric. Despite the goal it's unlikely that Bruun Larsen is much more than a rotational option generally, limiting his upside. That said the good showing on the pitch could earn him more playing time off the bench, and in cup matches.

Impact Bicakcic has yet to play this season and might get a chance before the World Cup break if he does well in the coming week. He started 13 times in 21 appearances when last a regular starter in 2019/20 so his role these days is likely to be limited at best.

Baumann and Hoffenheim have been impressive defensively, and are looking like a surprisingly solid fantasy environment for defenders.

Impact Skov has been truly stepping into his own after losing almost two entire seasons due to a knee injury. The right wing-back has been a nailed-on starter and an excellent foil for Angelino on the opposite side. Skov might not be the main creator in the starting XI but he's still managed 13 chances created in nine starts, and his crosses have been consistently climbing as he shows good delivery on et-pieces. Skov's increased role from set-pieces as well as his general role make him an interesting play in all matches.

Angelino - Nine crosses Saturday Angelino had nine crosses (four accurate) and one corner in Saturday's 2-0 loss to Bayern Munich.

Impact Angelino also created a pair of chances as he continued to be one of the main offensive outlets for Hoffenheim. Somewhat concerningly he only has one assist on the campaign despite creating 19 chances, and sending in 65 crosses. Angelino will hope to find some end product before the World Cup break, and with this sort of consistent volume that should be doable.
